Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaStaff were helpful but quite intense. Also tried to charge us 500 rs for a lift around corner to station (an Uber is 80 rs). Not ideal having to haggle with host.
Good location, 20 mins walk to City Palace. Comfortable room and huge bathroom. Quiet and peaceful oasis from noisy streets outside.

The property was lovely, there is a beautiful terrace overlooking the city. The food is incredible, everything is home made. I ate breakfast and dinner here. The best thing about the property is the staff. They really took care of me and helped me with everything. I would recommend this property highly!

Everything! This was our second stay at Khatu Haveli. It is beautiful, from the owners to the staff, the decor and furnishings, mustn’t forget the food, make sure to take evening dinner, lovely home cooked food in the beautiful dining room. Especially the Aubergine Curry 😊. We booked the Maharaja suite this time, really beautiful big room, with dressing area, two bathrooms and kitchen, as well as lounge chairs and tv. Spend some time on the roof watching the kite flying and the mischievous monkeys.

GermanyOne bathroom in Maharaja suite can get quite hot, no ac there. Some minor details, but negligible.
Lovely family-owned Haveli in walking distance from the City Palace and the other attractions, great personnel, and a wonderful rooftop where dinner is served with great views. Absolutely a recommendation when in Jaipur!

CanadaThe bed was very hard and uncomfortable. There isn't great ventilation in the bathroom so it smells a bit damp. The laundry service was very expensive but they did a good job.
Beautiful historic building and calm environment in the extremely chaotic old city. The staff are very nice and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Very close to the main sites and markets by rickshaw.

United KingdomNot much. One of the staff was a bit grumpy and bossy - trying to tell us which restaurants we should eat at - but more than made up for by others who were warm, welcoming and helpful.
This is a wonderful place to stay. The neighbourhood is away from other hotels and tourist places, but deep in old Jaipur. The rooftop gives a great view of the city, of Nahargagh Fort, and of the kite flying every evening. It's a maze-like old haveli, beautifully restored by the family. Excellent food every morning, and don't miss the evening meals too.

United KingdomReally great rooms, an oasis in the busy city, the rooftop was fabulous to relax on and watch the kites being flown. Pick up and drop off from airport was really good ( even though we left at 4.30am!). We had dinner there one night which was delicious. Overall a really great venue.

United KingdomA bit noisy at night but think that was because it's wedding season & really haven't found anywhere in India that isn't noisy !! Other than the rooftop terrace hasn't been my favourite stay in india.
Good location in the pink city, authentic residential area. Loved the rooftop terrace with views of the hills & a fort & great for watching all the kite flying & listening to all the sounds of prayers & general living ! Good very good. Man at reception not very friendly, but lady overseeing food ran a tight ship & was very helpful. rest of staff also very nice .

United KingdomThe images on Booking feature the rooftop terrace but this was not open, the only hotel in our two week trip that had closed its rooftop. Some staff were more welcoming than others. Getting information was sometimes difficult - on the day we left there was no-one at Reception when we were due to leave and no-one to tell us what was happening.
This is a very attractive haveli set in good sized grounds, located within walking distance of the Pink City (but we used their car!). The room was nicely furnished and comfortable. The food and service were both good. We had lost a day due to fog stopping flights out of Delhi but they very kindly didn't charge us for the night we failed to show. The hotel driver, who picked us up from the airport and took us to Amber and the Pink City was very helpful.
