Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Jasmin Home. Jitu runs the place with obvious pride. He arranged taxis, meals, tours and a camel safari, making our Jaisalmer visit full and rewarding. The rooms were large, clean and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. I’d happily stay there again.

GermanyWhen you stay there the owner takes care of you in a very friendly manner. You get advices, explanations about the place to visit and actually any help for your needs. We got also in a difficult situation because of a cancelled travel after our check out. Nevertheless the owner could help us amazingly and solved our case and so we could smoothly continue our tour in India. Thank you so much!

AustraliaIt’s a trade off but I would like to be closer to the action of old city and fort. I don’t see it as a walk as do others. It’s always a tuk tuk. The view of the fort is more distant than I expected. Small matters for such a charming comfortable place…
So clean and all mod cons which were very welcome. Totally quiet at night. Great food in rooftop restaurant. Helpful front desk staff who arranged a trip out to cenotaphs and deserted village and washing done same day. Attractive design totally new but in traditional style

IndiaNo real view of the fort and food was average
Great location. Away from the congested areas but just a short drive away from the fort. Relatively new hotel. Tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Decent size room and big bathroom with spacious shower cubicle. More than enough light for both room and bathroom. Good WiFi. Tea/coffee facility and bedroom slippers provided by the hotel.

Cared and furnished with a lot of love. super nice and clean rooms. a very nice host and very friendly staff. the location is very relaxing and quiet. It's a 10 minute walk to the fort - you can easily walk the route (also in the evening when its dark) or take a tuktuk at any time for little money. wonderful terrace and great food in the hotel restaurant (breakfast as well as lunch and dinner). We even received a free room upgrade, thank you very much! we can highly recommend the hotel, we had a wonderful stay.

The ambience was very nice with traditional architectural details. Terrace was nice for breakfast and dinner but too hot during the day. Owner was very nice and provided a blouse repair at no charge. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Location was a little out of town and quiet, a respite from the constant city noise. Food was delicious

The room was exactly as in the pictures. Extremely clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. The owners upgraded our room so we stayed on the first floor instead of the ground floor. The rooftop terrace dining area is a lovely cost spot. The food was freshly prepared and service was very prompt. There was everything one needs in the room and we did not feel the lack of anything. We parked right in front of the hotel.Would happily recommend to anyone wishing to stay here.

NorwayNottingham. Enjoyed everything about our stay at Jasmin Home
Rooms and all facilities are elegantly decorated, clean well kept. Our host gave us his full attention, allways giving time to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction - and to check if there was anything he could do to make our stay in Jaisalmer perfect. The host is flexible and accomodating beyond expectation. You can enjoy an evening view of the fort from the roof terrasse

United KingdomThe hotel building is finished but the surrounding area hopefully will be finished soon.
A new beautiful hotel built in the traditional haveli style. We were very impressed with the built quality. Room is very spacious and staff is ever so friendly and helpful. The owner chatted to us and gave us advice plus free farewell local craft/gift. He is an experienced hotelier and knows how to treat the guests well. The location is out of the old city, which means quieter, clean and calmer. Our driver can park right outside the hotel easily. It is only 15 minutes walk to the lake and 20 minutes walk to the fort (alternately take a tuk tuk for one british pound). On site restaurant or 10 minutes walk to nearby restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel.

AustraliaThere was nothing that we didn’t like. Please do yourself a favour and stay there. You will not be disappointed.
The rooms, food, our host Jeetu were magnificent. Jeetu was very accommodating for our every need when SpiceJet cancelled our flights. He arranged for cabs to take us to Jodpur. Hotel Jasmin Home is really authentic but certainly extremely clean, comfortable and breakfast is included. We had a fabulous stay there. Jeetu also acted as almost a tour guide giving us advice of what to see. They also arrange desert safaris. They have a roof top restaurant that has a view of the Fort. All his workers were extremely pleasant.

United StatesHotel Jasmin Home was a wonderful home base for our family while exploring Jaisalmer. This boutique hotel combines modern comforts with beautiful antique and artisanal touches. We enjoyed leisurely breakfasts on the rooftop with a view of Jaisalmer Fort. The fresh squeezed orange juice and banana pancakes were favorites. Jitu is a gracious host and, like a personal concierge, went out of his way to assist us with planning tours, transportation, and shopping. The walking tour of the fort with Lalu and our desert camel safari with dinner under the stars were highlights. Jasmin Home was a lovely oasis to return to at the end of each day in Jaisalmer.

SpainAmazing staff service, very friendly and thoughtful. They looked into all aspects; from preparing delicious and freshly cooked meals to setting up an extra mattress (family with 2 young kids) without us asking for it, so we could sleep better, it was very much appreciated. From front office, kitchen crew to housekeeping, we were well taken care off during our stay there. The hotel is clean, beautifully decorated and quiet, very good location. Highly recommended.
