Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLovely helpful staff and owners. Very homely. Great traditional food with fresh, local ingredients. Small pool was very welcome after a tiring couple of days. Well located in quiet enclave. Great value for money. One of our favourite hotels on our trip - a great all rounder, we stayed at much more expensive hotels during our trip, but loved the personal service and friendliness of Ikaki Niwas

United KingdomThe bathroom of our room, while perfectly serviceable, could do with an upgrade to match the room and rest of the property. Only a minor point though.
Full of character. The owners are the epitome of gentility and hospitality. Our experience here actually exceeded our high expectations and we would highly recommend it to future guests. The team are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is mostly sourced from their own farm and the standard of the cooking is high – we actually had some of the best food of the entire trip here, which we did not expect. LGBT+ friendly.

PortugalThe location was in a nice neighborhood out of the city center, but there was plenty going on — a lively park, various cafes and restaurants within walking distance. It was easy to arrange a ride into town to visit the sites in Jaipur. And the hotel is beautiful.

Very friendly, family-like warmness. I caught a cold during my stay, but they worried and cared about me, provided me with medicine and good tea for soar throat. The facilities including room are super clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was very delicious and they even prepared for me a breakfast box for my early departure.

United KingdomThere was nothing I didn't like. However, if you want to stay in the middle of the action, close to amenities etc, this might not be the place for you. But if you're looking for a hotel that's an experience in itself, i'd recommend the Ikaki Niwas.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and decorated with dark wood, traditional rugs and (most important!) comfortable beds. There are several inviting communal areas, with squishy sofas and well stocked bookcases. Where this place really excels, however, it's in the family who run it and their staff. They were professional and helpful, and went the extra mile, but were also warm, friendly and welcoming.

SpainThe hotel is in a very safe area of Jaipur. There is a park next to it for a little walk. The hotel is impecable clean. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom ample and comfortable. The staff is super kind, polite. and friendly. Very nice people. There is a small but cute pool in a very nice terrace where you can also enjoy breakfast and dinner. Totally worth it!

United KingdomBeautiful heritage hotel with comfortable and good sized room + bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and never too busy but the location is also great for nearby places to eat. Best of all is the staff and relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly and easy going. Akram was attentive and happy to help with recommendations and booking cars etc. (Jitendra who drove me to the Amber Fort was also friendly, chilled and had great music taste!)

AustriaWould have prefered a double bed rather than two single beds.
We stayed for two nights at Ikaki Niwas as our last destination of our 2 week Indian round-trip. It was the best decision we've made to stay at Ikaki Niwas, after having restaurant and hotel food all the time. We got welcomed with flower petals falling from the rooftop on us as we entered. It was like being welcomed by a relative to their house, being pampered with homecooked meals and just relaxing. The service was great, and that home-vibe was very much needed.

United StatesI could have stayed here much longer! I didn't like having to leave.
This is a very charming and authentic place to stay while visiting Jaipur. I loved how at home I felt here. Also loved all the artwork, decor, and sitting areas from the rooftop patio where I ate my meals to the lounge outside my room to the lobby area where I waited for my Uber. My host JD was very generous and offered great insight to help me plan my visit to the Pink City. Akram, the manager was equally helpful and kind. He ensured every taxi, driver, and tuk-tuk I ordered found its way to the front door of the Haveli. Even waiting for me to ensure the driver understood my requests and where I was off to. And I had his number just in case I needed help while in Jaipur. With an early departure on my last day, Akram ensured I had a delicious boxed meal to take with me on my drive to Delhi.

Sint MaartenBooked this hotel for 7 nights because of the beach chairs. Every day I received the same answer in regards to the lack of the beach chairs, maintenance.... One day I was chatting with a lady visiting the hotel. I received the tip to go Pushkar (must visit! ❣) We were talking about Brahma, reincarnation etc. She told me I would have to come back another life because I was still eating meat. Animals are killed because I'm eating meat. 'The animals don't have a voice', were her exact words. I thought about her words whilst on the train to Pushkar. My intuition tells me, Where is the voice of the people? They work 24/7. I was in the hotel for 7 days. I saw them every day. From morning till evening. Sleeping on the floor. They have a wife and children. They should have a minimum of 1 day off per week and 3-4 days per month to see their wife and children. Mahatma Gandhi abolished the caste system. Why is it still in place? Where is the voice of the people?
The staff is extremely nice and helpful. I arrived in the middle of the night and they greeted me with a smile. They provide the highest level of service 💖
