Place is spacious compare to similar priced rooms in varanasi. The staff is extremely helpful. One day it was raining and i could borrow their umbrella. The space has lots of areas to hang out if you are bored in your room.

Some things could be improved such as the washroom on the terrace and the common area gets too hot in summer so you can either play games or keep the cooler on as it makes the ball fly. And the tv space in the common room is a little far from the cooler to be effective there.

Amazing, friendly staff. Great artworks on the walls, Clean rooms, AC in dorms were working, the city looks beautiful from the terrace, lovely people, made some friends for life there. A lot of things are easily accessible from there.

The staff were really friendly and helpful; when we weren’t sure what to do they even went out to buy a game for us to play! They clean the dorms thoroughly several times a day so it was the most hygienic stay in India so far! It’s the best value for money and if I ever visit Varanasi again this is the only place I’d stay.

no power back up, this shouldn't effect in other seasons but since we went in rainy season there was a power cut all night and the AC wasn't working

The staff was always helpful and willing to help with any questions. In the common space you can interact with many people if you wish. I also had a great time in the play space. I want to stay again!

Just be careful with leaving belongings (such as wet clothes) at the rooftop: monkeys may take them.

Everything ! Location of the hostel was close to Ganga River and all the main street market. The staff of the hostel was very nice and helpful. The rooms was clean and bed comfortable. Rooms with AC + individual fan per bed. You can stay on the common area and use common washroom in case of early check-in/ late check-out. I was quite sick 2-3 days due to the heat, and the owner of hostel helped me a lot to get medicine and rest. I felt like home in my own family. Thank you. A Big THANK YOU for all. I really enjoyed my stay at Gypsy Diaries Varanasi. Vibes of hostel is very nice, friendly and like family. Special mention for SONU and his brother. No other words than just veryyy thank you. I'll be back for sure ! See you soon

One of the nicest hostels I have stayed in india. The staff were so helpful and most special Sonu jee and they gave us some wonderful memory and insightful tours of the city so kind. They also arranged our bus to agra for us and tuktuk drives ect.. The place was so quite at night had a really good sleep there. The rooms were clean and spacious and they had some lovey areas of the hostel to hang out in! A rooftop terrace, a room with a pool table and lovely couches to sit on. We planned to stay for one night but ended up staying for three. Free water refill and laundry is also provided! It is also very close to the main ghats and some very nice restaurants, ATMs, etc... Would 100 percent stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Varanasi. 😁😁

The location of the property within walking distance from the ghats is a big advantage for anyone visiting Varanasi and it's also located in a neighbourhood where one can experience the city's everyday life. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they were happy to arrange my transfer to the airport and were always available. My room was big enough and so was the bathroom. Appreciated a lot the fact that my room was quiet even though the property is centrally located. Definitely would stay again!
