Seems to be overpriced slightly since for a booking of more than 14K INR , breakfast was not complimentary.

It is at one of the best locations with lot of site seeing options and activities. Most of them are close by and easily reachable. Rooms were spacious and the staff was good.

Didn't clean room unprompted. Strange calls each night asking if we planned to eat in the restaurant. Bit tired decor.

Nice location up a hill away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Arboretum feel with many labelled trees. Macaques often roaming, along with chipmunks and hordes of cicadas. Food good in restaurant. Good shower with door.

We found the sunbeds didn’t have and padded cushions and being wooden found them too uncomfortable to sit on. Also our plunge pool water drained away, staff very accommodating at refilling it but was never full at the time we would have liked to make use of it. Pretty to look at though.

The rooms are very big but maybe too much because without any decoration it's not very cosy. It miss something. One day before our arrival, we add an announce that the main pool is in refection. Anyway we add a good moment

We took the private cottage with private pool. The park and the staff is very gentle. It's a very calm place in the center of town (kumily) at only few steps from the periyar national park. We add a few problems with the wifi and the staff gave us directly many solutions.

The Gardner starts very early and the noise as well as the smell caused by the motor is very disturbing during Breakfast. The Tandoori items on the Menu Card were not available .

The rooms are outdated and could use a renovation, not just in terms of decoration.

This property gives you a feeling of being immersed in the jungle, giving you a relaxing and peaceful stay. The food was tasty and the restaurant staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location is also very good, being in the town of Kumily, close to nearby attractions.

No complmentary breakfast even for high end rooms, buffer rates are super expensive as in Metropolitan 5* property. Should have climate controlled private pool as we booked only for private plunge pool but couldn’t use it even once because of its coldness.

The incessant noise of the gardener, blowing leaves - using ironically a petrol device every day. Also, 2/4 pieces of the gym were not working.Also the attitude of the staff on checking in and prior was poor in relation to our payment. We were pestered so much before the stay to pay with an obscure method, which in the end I did in full. However, it seems their systems are so crap they did not receive a ‘code’ for my payment and so on arrival they pestered me again for codes. All we could do was show the money had left our credit card account. We were made to feel like paupers who hadn’t paid and no apology was given and yet it is their problem due to inefficiency!

We liked the grounds and outdoor badminton. Pool small but ok. The cooking lesson and dancing entertainment.

I thought the breakfast buffet was very overpriced for what it is. Would have preferred a menu to order from because it would have been a fraction of the price, and likely better food. I was also disappointed to see the hotel advertising and helping tourists book elephant rides when most of the world is so aware of the horrible abuse and exploitation of elephants that occurs in this industry. It would be nice if resorts were instead trying to educate tourists about the abuse captive elephants endure in India for tourism, rather than feeding into the problem. This is the only way to make change in such problematic industries.

The property is so serene and calming which was so nice! The pool is refreshingly cool, beds are insanely comfortable, and staff are all really friendly. Arun was so helpful in booking our tours for us, thank you Arun! Overall the resort feels like a peaceful oasis.

The road is near by so sometimes you can hear a little bit of traffic.

The staff, specially their manager Mr Jose, was very warm and welcoming. This resort takes extra care in recycling water and garbage. Also I was really impressed with how they have so many trees in the property. I found a malabar hornbill to visit the trees in front of my room. Mr Arun gave a really nice tour of the property where I got to meet the workers and also a cow on the property. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay and recommend this place for stay in Thekkady.

We had our family holiday in Thekkady for 3 nights and chose Greenwoods for our holiday resort. The location of the resort is prime and right in the centre of Kumily town which has easy access to everything. Climate in Dec was pleasant and the serenity of Thekkady was brought alive with the beautiful, green and lush resort of Greenwoods. The front office staff and guest relations staff were very courteous and attentive to all our needs with quick turnaround times. In house restaurant serves all types of cuisine and delicious food and the restaurant staff went above and beyond in their culinary service. All in all, fantastic place and a must visit when in Thekkady.

1. Food- Quite literally, nothing listed on the room service menu was available. We had to change the whole order after ordering the first night because nothing was available. The time taken per service also varied. At times they would call to say there is a delay but it would be delayed more than the promised time 2. Hot water in the rest rooms were lukewarm not hot. Considering the place is quite cold the hot water should have been hot 3. For the live counter some orders(chappathi, dosa) took 20-30 mins 4. Cattleshed, Rabbit farm etc are listed as visiting places.. The rabbit farm was a single cage with multiple rabbits. It should have been way neater. 5. The play area could be much better. It had a couple of swings and a trampoline. Some of the swings were very slippery and others were hanging in an awkward angle.

Its a beautiful property. The environment and how the individual rooms were spaced across the property..There was plenty of space and peace. It was essentially with a peaceful locality and gorgeous. The staff was courteous and polite.

Check in check out was terrible. Consuming more time until I have to wait more than 30 minutes. The housekeeping department overlooked the cleaning of the room. When I checked into the room the Dustin was not cleaned. No towels in the room. The lighting was too bad. We have to request. The breakfast was lacking in choices and less tasty especially south indian food. Needs more varieties. There was no sending off from the staff.

It's my third time visiting here. They upgraded my room. Thanks to the management All the while well maintained landscaping here. All the activities still remain the same and create excitement.

There's absolutely nothing to like in this place.

The place was too good that we did not roam out and spent most of the time in the resort. Location was excellent and the property was too good. The hospitality of the staff was so good and everybody were very warm and smiling. Aswathy and Sona from the frontdesk were very helpful. Food was so amazing too. Laundry service was prompt and was not expensive. On arrival, they treated us with cardamom garlands, tikka and hot cup of coffee. I had asked for a cake and it was prepped too well with no eggs.

The staff. They were very intense. They gave us all the information about meal times etc. then phoned our room if we missed one. We then tried putting the do not disturb sign up and still they called us to ask us if we needed our room cleaned.
