Some of the plug points aren't working, but I bet Saji will look into it before your next travel so nothing to worry. Also if you're plus sized and need an orthopedic mattress (firm for better back support) you might face a challenge with the deluxe rooms mattress. The garden view mattress was quite nice, so slept well.

As everyone mentioned, Saji, the owner is one who understands hospitality quite well. We asked him for an early breakfast and he mentioned that he'd try for dosa and chutney, but couldn't promise it because restaurants wouldn't open then. Nonetheless he'd give bread omlette he said. Come the next day, he gave us bread omlette and since we got slightly delayed, he also arranged for dosa and onion curry! Also, he got fresh watermelon and blended it for us as we didn't consume tea/coffee!! He gave us additional blankets for the night and helped us with everything we needed. On that note, even while driving out, it was raining and since the road to his hotel is very narrow, I needed help getting my car out. Saji helped me get to the connecting road even though he got wet in the rain! That level of hospitality is just very very rare these days. The location, while not beach view, is very close to the cliff. So you're really close to everything, but have a slight walk to the cliff (100m or so) The rooms are very clean. The deluxe room especially was quite aesthetic! The service is what really painted a smile on our hearts!

Had a little trouble finding the place.

Nice modern, clean room of good size at a good price. Host Saji very helpful and knowledgable. Breakfast simple but fresh and tasty. Would definitely stay again.

We miss Saji.

Our stay at Cascara was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect for getting to all of the best spots along the cliff. Breakfast was delicious and different every day, courtesy of Raji. The place is kept super clean and the rooms are comfortable, in particular the deluxe villa, which we never wanted to leave. But what makes this stay especially special was the fabulous host Saji. No ask was too much trouble and we were given great recommendations. And we left with a new friend. We highly recommend staying at Cascara!

- there was a bit of confusion on how we were able to pay at the end of our stay, we had to pay in cash, but in fairness Saji was happy for us to pay the driver he arranged for us to take to our next destination once we had visited an atm rather than insisting on payment to himself - bed was a little hard, and maybe a little basic in terms of sheets/pillows

- location was excellent, 2 minutes to the beach, shops and restaurants, but set a little back from the main drag along the clifftop. V quiet and peaceful. - room was lovely and bathroom was very nice and bright. - lovely decoration of the room - A/C was wonderful and very much needed from the heat in Varkala - Saji was very welcoming, laid back and friendly - Saji cooked our breakfast to order, lovely omelettes and fresh fruit and coffee.

The property is great and the location is perfect and right next to the beach. The rooms are clean and cozy and our host Sajji, took care of everything and helped us with all our requirements. He even suggested the places we can cover and put efforts to make our stay as comfortable as possible

This homestay style is in a great location just behind the main row of clifftop restaurants and shops. The room size is decent and Sagi, the owner, is a chilled out character who makes you feel relaxed.

The location is perfect, close to everything and felt very safe. The manager is great, very welcoming and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We love Saji! We had an incredible stay at Cascara. The best place we’ve stayed during our India trip. Our villa was clean and spacious. The villa had air conditioning and was in a great location. Saji went above and beyond to ensure our visit was spectacular. We definitely recommend Cascara and hope to visit again.

We had a great stay at cascara beach resort. Our host was always available and ready to help. The main cliff road is located just behind the guesthouse, fantastic location! We felt very secure and can only recommend this place.

Great location for visiting Varkala beach - less than 5 minutes walk to the restaurants and shops. The host, Saji, was very friendly and attentive. The room was large, and very clean and comfortable.

Very cute and cozy place , more than one could ask for. Its well maintained and 50 mtrs from the cliff/beach. Mr Saji was a huge help and guided us everywhere.
