Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelSurprisingly it was still cold on nights of May, probably as the cabin locates on a mountain. The air conditioner was a bit noisy.
The cabin locates in a kibbutz on a mountain, with very nice view over Sea of Galilee. The cabin is surrounded by plants, it is pleasant to wake up and see a scenery full of green. The cabin locates almost at the end of road, so it's quiet. The cabin is a nicely decorated boutique. The host is very helpful, providing plenty of information about the activities and attractions around.

United StatesBread toaster will be a plus.
The place was very quiet: it was a Shavuot Holiday, probably, the most wanted time of the year for such a trip, but we haven't heard any noise, we barely noticed our neighbors. Very convenient private porch with the table and couple chairs: we used them every morning. The perfect location for hiking in Mt. Meron area.

United StatesThis was not something we did not like but wanted to point out if you have small children. The cabin is an A frame with ladder like stairs to the upper level where there were 4 more beds. We had 3 children 9 and under with us and at the excellent suggestion of our host, we made the youngest sleep downstairs on the sofa bed. We did let him play up there during the day. There was also a bedroom on the first floor. It worked out fine and the older kids knew to wait for us to watch them go up and down. Otherwise plenty of sleeping options for two adults and 3 young children.
Our hosts were wonderful. They made sure we knew how to get there and if everything was to our satisfaction. Breakfast was optional. We ordered it for the first morning. A full Israeli breakfast. There was also an option to walk down the road to a cafe. But there was also a microwave and hot kettle and coffee maker so you can easily make your own. The cafe has pizza on Thursday evenings. There was a small playground in front of our cabin that the kids loved. There was a larger one about a 10-minute walk. And the view of the Kinneret from a lookout area very close to our cabin was spectacular. We did not bring food so we ordered takeaway from the small shop several doors down for dinner our second nite. They also catered our breakfast. Everything was tasty. And two bathrooms!

IsraelThough the place is nice the value for money is unjustified. Way too pricey for what you get.
the cabin is really cute and has some privacy with the trees that surround it. from the photos it looks like it’s more secluded but it is actually surrounded by more cabins/ houses. the place was clean and well equipped, very easy to get to and from.

United StatesIt is not so easy to find restaurants in Amirim. The first night we were there, we went to a superb Arab vegetarian restaurant but we could not find anything else available for our second night. You have to go out of Amirim to find dinner in other towns.
We stayed in a beautifully appointed, yet rustic cabin. Lots of lovely details awaited us such as a bottle of wine, cookies and nuts and dried fruit. The owners made themselves available to help us with every little thing such as directions, where to find pizza, etc. There is so much to do in the area and we will definitely return.

IsraelWe loved the beautiful cozy cabin. It was so comfortable and the view was amazing. There was everything you could need and more. There were tons of little extras that made the stay so special. The water was very hot which was also wonderful. Such beautiful views and nature all around. It's the perfect place to stay to go on walks in nature and there were tons of amazing restaurants close by. We are just sad to leave.

AustraliaThat we had to pack the following morning and leave without enjoying what the area had to offer.
It was only a one night stay. We arrived late and left early the following morning. For its purpose it was fine. The host (who we never met) was a great communicator and left the place full of home made goodies to welcome us, which was a very nice touch.

IsraelThe cabin felt very old. The furniture (including beds) was not very comfortable. It was hard to get a good temperature in the cabin, even with the fireplace and heater (either too cold or too hot). Also, the cost was very high so I expected it to be more luxurious
The location is gorgeous! The hosts are very warm and accommodating.
