Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Israelparking - the parking lots in the area are expensive and there is almost no parking in the street (limited to Jerusalem residents only)- the hotel should make some deal for the guests in one of the close parking lots Carpet in the room- I would prefer no carpet as I have allergies but it was not a big deal
the location is great- very close to 'mahne Yehuda' market and city center clean rooms and highly clean sheets. bottle of water and soft drinks on behalf of the hotel. coffee machine and tea in the rooms we were a family of 5 and we all loved the breakfast. there is also a happy hour in the afternoon which was a cool The staff is super nice and supports all our Qs and needs

The staff is lovely. The breakfast spread is outstanding; we especially loved the herbs for teas and the honey comb. Excellent location. Comfortable bed.

The location was perfect. The room was much larger than I expected. There were so many nice little extras that just made the hotel above and beyond: complimentary mini fridge, complimentary happy hour, beautiful roof, fresh fruit in the room, and more. It was super comfortable and clean as well

United StatesMy room never really cooled down and was a little noisy but that is what you get for a downtown hotel. Truly, no complaints!
I needed a place to stay last minute and I was so lucky to stay here. I've been to Atlas hotel in Tel Aviv before and my family has been staying there for years and years. This hotel in Jerusalem is just the same: quaint, perfect location and very individualized and family-like atmosphere and support from all of the staff.

United StatesWe came to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv (where we stayed at the Fabric Hotel which is a sister hotel to Bezalel). The breakfasts at Fabric were AMAZING - so it was a bit of a let down for breakfast at Bezalel - but understandable since it was not a restaurant). The rooms were very small which was fine, however the AC could only be controlled by the building for all rooms (so we were told) so if you wanted it cooler or warmer, they had to do it for the entire building, which seemed wonky
The front desk staff was tremendously helpful and kind. We also had two rooms that were at the end of the hallway (and we could close the hallway door so it felt like a suite). The wine and appetizers each night (happy hour) were awesome as we spent our days on our feet, so having a glass and playing chess became a nightly activity before dinner.

United Kingdombathroom a little tired and the shower was sometimes not very hot limited tv channels … Shabbat and windy cool weather meant we were in the room most evenings and it would have been great to have had Netflix
good location about 15 minutes walk from outskirts of the centre and 30 minutes to the old city. large comfortable bed and great private terrace attached to our room but it was very windy so we weren’t able to use it for 1/2 of the time happy hour 5-7 with drinks and nibbles

United StatesRoom was small. Also Booking.com room rate was misleading. We ended up paying almost 3 times more than we expected. Frustrating. For that reason alone, I will probably not book through Booking.com for international travel again.
Great location, near Old City Jerusalem. Staff was friendly, room was small but comfortable. Beds we comfortable. Had a nice outdoor patio that we used a few times when it wasn't windy. Happy hour food was nice. Breakfast was adequate, could use more variety.

United KingdomLack of food & beaverages outside breakfast.
Good size room, with very good ensuite, massive TV on a gimble that in my room, looked like it could fall off any second and made getting down 1 side of the bed a bit of a squeeze. Curtains had to be kept closed as sun would stream in plus not the best of views (through very dirty windows) of adjacent buildings plus the larger window was the head of the bed against the permanently closed curtains (had end/corner room 2nd floor). Higher rooms would be better. Roof terrace looked good but was closed when I was staying. Pleasant ground floor area with nice comfy sofas with a nice friendly buzz/feel. Nice street café style seating area outside but lacking any regular coffee/drink service (Mid-March so not high season). Reception is in a choke point just inside the entrance door so can get busy if there are multiple check in/departures but all staff I met super helpful & engaging. Pick up & drop off is on a one-way street so not the easiest but there is a slip road next to hotel which offers some stopping options but will get busy. This one-way road looks like it's going to get busier as there is a very elegant new building / office about to open opposite the front of the hotel which will increase the local footfall. With plenty of restaurants close as well as one of the best/only shopping mall close too, this area is on the up. Plenty of older more traditional and contemporary restaurant choices within 2-3 min walk as hotel doesn't provide meals other than breakfast.
