Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomNot much to dislike at all. The house is perhaps a little tired compared to a hotel, but you can tell it is well loved and cared for and I would rather spend my money here than in a soulless corporate dreary hotel chain.
I loved the location, overlooking the promenade and within a comfortable walk to the city centre but away from all the hustle and bustle and night time economy noise. Being able to step outside first thing in the morning and have a beach walk was awesome. Breakfast was excellent and kept me well fuelled for the day’s adventures ahead. The hosts were friendly (as was the dog!). My room was comfortable and mostly quiet. Other guests were respectful of the property also.

United StatesIt could be the time of year, but I felt the price was a little higher than it should have been, but considering we booked 2 hours prior to arrival, I feel the price was fair. I've paid less for more amenities, but in truth, we didn't stay long enough to avail ourselves of all the amenities offered. If we had, I more than likely would have felt different.
We only stayed for one night. The room wasn't big, but it was comfortably furnished, and had a kettle with tea and coffee. The beds were very comfortable, and it was great having a bathroom ensuite. The location was great, right across from the beach, and a short walk to the entertainment area (pubs, shops, movie theater, casinos, etc). The staff was great, very helpful and accommodating. Even though I couldn't partake due to my own dietary restrictions, they served an amazing breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend Westwinds B&B.
