Unfortunately our room was on the top floor so we had to climb up 32 steps!!

Poor lighting in the room especially by the sink Terribly uncomfortable old ratty pillows on the bed—something that is easily fixed Shampoo/soap terrible for my hair

We loved The Stop. The space was beautifully curated. The breakfast was fabulous. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The location is perfectly situated near the water and the bustling downtown areas with shops and restaurants.

No Parking on premise, tough to find street parking, was advised of free parking on street but got a parking ticket.

The ceiling in our room was a little low - we stayed on the top floor with an angled ceiling.

The staff was wonderful and helpful with restaurants and sites to see. Breakfast was delicious. Location was great and central to many bars and restaurants.

Being a house converted into a lovely B&B, bear in mind that suitcases need to be taken up the stairs (no lift). Also, no TV in the room.

Highly recommend The Stop for a short stay at Galway. Location is perfect, within walking distance for all restaurants, pubs, shops and landmarks in the city. The staff at The Stop were very friendly, caring and gave us all the information required during the stay. The property comes with its own parking spaces which is very convenient. With regards to breakfast, there is a menu which you can choose from the night before and it will be prepared for you at the chosen time the next morning, such as pancakes etc., plus an additional spread which includes bread, nuts, cheese, coffee and tea, orange juice, etc. The room was clean and housekeeping is done daily. Perfect for a short stay. Thank you so much to Russel and the girls!

we were just sad we had to leave!

The Stop exceeded our expectations. Russell and his staff were warm and welcoming. The homemade breakfast was exceptional. The room was as advertised and the common areas were peaceful and made our extended stay more enjoyable. We appreciated their food, music, and sightseeing recommendations. We would book this room again in a heartbeat! One of the best experiences we’ve had in our travels. The location is perfect, a very very quick walk to the bustling Quays while being located in the quieter, hipper West End.

Lovely, super-clean room with a comfortable bed. Stylish and very charming decor. Abuts a cool, non-touristy Galway neighborhood. Excellent breakfast to start the day accompanied by cool jazz tunes played on a turntable. The owner connected with us when we arrived and clearly has a hands-on touch throughout. It was a very brief stay but we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
