Very expensive for a guest house without bar/restaurant facilities but unfortunately all of Ireland is too costly!

    Everything !

It's a BnB in an old house, so you can pretty much hear everything, especially from upstairs. Not a huge deal for us. The noise mainly happened in the early morning. Also, the room and bathroom are tiny tiny.

We loved the art on the walls and the music playing. Breakfast was delicious and there were several options. Staff and owner were super friendly and helpful. Location is great: short walk to touristy Latin quarter and less touristy, even better places are closer.

Our room was on the first floor and we could really hear the people above us snoring and coughing. We had to use ear plugs. It’s a little awkward in the 1st floor room with people parking directly next to our window. Maybe a little planter under the window for some buffer and privacy would be helpful.

Perfect breakfast! Such fresh and delicious food, tea and coffee was plentiful.

During our stay at ‘The Stop’, we particularly enjoyed the beautiful design of the rooms and the great conversations with our host Russel. The breakfast with many home-made or local specialities was outstanding.

Our room was small with slanted ceilings in the main room and the bathroom. This made it a challenge for me to get around at 183 centimeters tall. PLEASE NOTE THIS WAS NOT THE FAULT OF THE STOP!!! When we return to Galway again we would love to stay here again but will look into a larger room.

Excellent location in close proximity to both the city center and the promenade. Excellent breakfast and cozy living room. We had late tea at night in the breakfast room which always had nice music in the background along with candlelight. Always fresh cookies available, too. The breakfast was very tasty with several options along with freshly squeezed orange juice, marmalade/jam, yogurt, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The innkeeper, Russell, made us feel right at home. When we first arrived he showed us all the facilities, showed us how to get to many places in the area and also made a number of helpful restaurant recommendations. Russell was always there to help. He's a very friendly chap who runs a great inn.

    Nothing.

It reflected the host's interests and style which added to the experience. Near city centre. Hot breakfast food was freshly cooked, scrambled eggs best ever.

Russell and everyone we met were incredibly nice and helpful. I messed up and didn't book enough nights, but Russell found me a place to stay without hesitation. He went above and beyond!! The location was ideal as it was a quick walk to both the West End (much quieter) and the Promendade, but still quiet. We went to the West End each night for dinner/drinks and it was busy, but not overly so. We were able to get into the Crane as well, a great old pub that has live music. Go early and get a seat upstairs to listen to the pick up sessions. It was standing room only after it starts! Try the chips at Vinny's take out- they hit the spot! The weather was gorgeous so we walked along the Prom and also out to Mutton Island. It's a waste water facility at the end, but the walk it wonderful just the same. We had no issues walking to the docks to catch the ferry to Inishmore and walking to and from the train station was about 15-20 minutes. Plenty of busses and cabs if you prefer.
