Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomIt’s a tad far out if you don’t drive but we love to walk so it was perfect for us!! There are lots of good buses nearby though The curtains let a lot of light in so it was hard to catch up on sleep after late nights in the pub 😂
Lovely room! The bathroom right next door which was really handy! Loved the tea and coffee options, and it was a nice walk from the house down into Salthill to walk along the water front, it’s also really close to the countryside at the outskirts of Galway so only takes 10 minutes to be out in nature! Valentina and her partner are really lovely and gave us some really good recommendations. It felt really clean and safe and secure - we were thrilled!

The room was really clean and spacious. Plenty of hanging space, extra blankets, and the bed was very comfortable. The shared bathroom was spotless. The tea and coffee making facilities were unexpected, but a lovely addition. The location is ideal if you have an early appointment in University hospital. Valentina is a lovely host and was available if I needed anything. I will definitely be staying again in the future.

Price was cheaper than others with the quality still being amazing. Place was warm, clean and organised. The host Valentina was really nice to us. She informed us about the current Christmas markets and Galway and gave us address.

GermanyI am glad to have found Valentina's accommodation. Two nights with her was the ideal start to my stay in Galway. The room and the whole apartment seem to be designed with a lot of creativity and love and this reflects her great nature. As well as a super bed, the room has space for clothes and is nice and light during the day, the curtains darken well if you want to sleep a bit longer. Towels are ready and the bathroom, which is right next door, is super clean and makes you feel comfortable. Valentina provided a small kettle and tea bags in the room, like small pastries, to start your day. I would highly recommend your stay with her if you are looking for something with character, unlike so many tourist apartments and hostels. The apartment is a good walk from the city but on my way I got many beautiful impressions besides even a rainbow. Not far from the house is a small viewpoint. Best booking experience in a long time!!
