Rooms were very warm in Summer. But they provide fans that you can plug in if needed. Took a while for servers to bring menus and take our orders after being seated both in the bar and at breakfast. It was busy in the bar when we stayed so we thought it was down to that but then it was quiet for breakfast the next morning and it still seemed the same. But this was minor and overall our experience was good.

Can understand people wishing to have dogs with them & good they have that facility. However didn't like some people having their dogs sitting on same chairs or tables that we having our meals at

We never had a view. We had a kitchen, living room and bedroom window. Each window looked at a brick wall. The bedroom also backed onto railroad tracks with trains going by often. Had we known this ahead of time we would never have booked a room. Also the rug was dirty.

The piano room area wasnt open for drinks as we were sunday night to Tuesday night. It was a pity as it looked like the nicest part of the hotel with lovely views.

The only thing I didn’t like was there was an annoying sound coming from outside my window, probably the air vent system or something like that.

The breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect with a gorgeous view of the sea. The rooms were very nice and clean with comfy beds.

There was a bar area that was only opened on Fridays and it would have been nice to experience that during our stay but unfortunately we didn’t stay during the weekend.

The restaurant at the hotel had amazing food and drinks. The hotel was beachfront and able to walk to different bars and sightseeing areas.

The weather. Oddly, the soap dispensers in the shower and at the bathroom sink required both hands to squeeze out any soap which sort of defeats the purpose (you're supposed to be able to squeeze it with one hand and catch the soap coming out of the bottom with the free hand.) My friend in another room had the same problem so I imagine a lot of guests do.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the upper lounge/bar as it closed early which hadn’t been explained to us. We were really looking forward to sitting here to have a drink and meal overlooking the sea-instead we had to sit in the dark back bar on high stools which was very disappointing and not the experience we were wanting.

Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The room although small was clean and well presented. The upstairs bar/lounge areas looked very nicely decorated.

Unknowingly as we arrived in the dark , Our Apartment accommodation was Right next to the railway track and the first train set off about 6am, so an unexpected early alarm clock! Also don’t know if we were under the bar area where glass bottles were being disposed of or if glass was just being thrown at the back … massive glass noise at 3 am was not appreciated ! Breakfast and staff was lovely but the dining area was pretty dark we had to read the menus in outside daylight - please make breakfast time bright and airy Martellos !

The location. Overlooking the ocean. Good meet up place for my local family. Previously been there last year for a great evening meal celebration with a good atmosphere with family. The booked apartment accommodation was huge . We Booked for 2 adults but didn’t realise there were 2 extra pull down beds in the lounge. Perhaps make that clear on room booking. We arrived much later than expected at 0100 after transport problems and they were quick to respond to my concerns via email . Great night receptionist guy helped us with taking luggage in from car on street up to our room . Lovely breakfast staff .
