Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Beautiful, comfortable beds in a lovely, spacious room. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. Breakfast was superb.

United KingdomI did ask for a room close to the elevator as one of the group has mobility issues, we didn't get this and the corridors are quite long. I did not say anything to reception so I didn't give them the opportunity to fix this.
Room was very comfortable, breakfast was amazing with choices of fry, cereal, fruit etc. The location was perfect for walking around Dublin and sightseeing. (Although I don't think I would be happy to walk around O'Connell Street at night anymore!)

Hotel staff was amazing. Especially the front desk and lobby staff. Front desk manager had treats sent to our room when he noticed it was our daughters birthday. Really nice touch.

United StatesA random man walked into my room, as in, had a key to my room the morning of 9/12. I reported it to the person handling my checkout who coincidentally was a manager. His first instinct was to check to see if I authorized issuing a second key????? Which I hadn't. When my son came down to checkout we learned the same thing happened to him. The manager took a definite "no harm no foul" aditude like as long as we weren't attracted or robbed then having a stranger enter my room while I was in my pj's and lying on my bed wasn't an issue
Beautiful hotel and the overnight staff, we arrived after midnight, we're great. Morning staff was up and down. Porters and bell staff were great, management not so much.

CanadaWe travelled with two other couples - one of the other couples had late arrival and did not end up with rooms as nice as the other two - even after they were moved to another room the next day.
We were greeted by friendly staff and that continued throughout our stay. The rooms and amenities were clean and in good working condition and the breakfast buffet had great selections!
