Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesMy husband enjoys a chair for sitting and reading comfortably. The room was a bit small for such a chair. There was seating however.
We enjoyed a nice light breakfast brought to our room by our host Michael each morning. Michael renovated the coach house, very well and tastefully done. The Shower was lovely. We enjoyed playing with Juno their dog. Michael was a wealth of information, places to see and things to do. We enjoyed our evenings at Moran’s pub across the street, Hi to Mary Moran! The only issue we found with the "bed" was not the beds themselves, they were very comfortable but as we discovered throughout the rest of our journey through Ireland, no matter where we stayed, 4 star hotel, Airbnb, etc. the comforters were too warm. And the comforters are your only option for a cover while sleeping. I would still stay at the Coachhouse again in a heartbeat, I felt at home. A very quaint and peaceful place to lay your head.

United StatesYou definitely need a car to get around, but that comes with the territory of staying in a small, countryside village.
Everything was lovely--the room, the host, and the location. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and Michael was super helpful in giving us food recommendations. Plus, Michael's dog, Juno, was a delight to play with and incredibly friendly. I'd travel to Sligo just to stay here again.

New ZealandHow could you not like breakfast delivered to your door? Beautiful breakfast, a brimming bowl of fresh berries, excellent coffee and croissants. The room was simply but beautifully decorated, loved the plastered walls with some exposed brick. Best shower on our trip. Informative and delightful host and dog (dog not so informative but liked a ball).

United StatesOnly thing I could suggest is luggage rack in the room but it had an abundance of cubbies and closet which we didn't use since we only stayed one night
Wish we could have stayed longer - Michael was so helpful with suggestions on where to eat and route for us to travel for best scenery and experience Breakfast was great -nice to have before our departure and delivered to our door !! The room was cozy and charming it even had heated floors !! Juno became our best friend and stayed on our porch waiting for the ball to get tossed to him. Don't hesitate book this you will not be sorry !!

United KingdomHighly recommended so nothing negative to say.
Unspoilt, calm and genuine accommodation. Michael and his dog Juno - ours for too short a time, we’re fun and communicative. We arrived early for our check-in and this was no problem; lots of useful advice on local eateries and breakfast was perfect.

United StatesThe bed could’ve been a bit more comfortable or had a second set of pillows. It was fine for our shorter stay, though.
Great stay in the Sligo area. Michael was so attentive and helpful during our stay and it’s clear he pays attention to the details that make the room feel like home! Great shower, breakfast was delicious, and playing with Juno was a bonus. Would highly recommend!

FranceA pretty good address with very nice hosts! The room itself is more like a little studio, very cosy, with a nice bathroom. The breakfast is brought up to you directly in your room (continental and not a fry, but pretty good and tasty anyway). I keep in mind our nice (and long :-)) talk with our host the second night we stayed there: perhaps next time you'll speak a little more Irish :-) ! More seriously, an address I keep in my list, not vey far from Sligo.

IrelandMichael was very welcoming, offered advice on what to see and do locally, booked Morans for dinner for us. Room was very comfortable with an excellent shower. We were lucky with the 2024 summer as Michael served us a very tasty continental breakfast in the courtyard. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recomend to anyone. In fact we will be back, now all you have to do Michael is to make sure that the weather is just as good!

IrelandWe stayed for just one night (attending a wedding at a nearby venue), so we really just needed a place to sleep and not much else. However, the property was quite unique - an outbuilding converted into several studio type rooms, each with their own external access. The rooms were modern and finished to a high standard. The owner was friendly and welcoming - we particularly appreciated the breakfast delivered to our room - you complete a menu card and leave outside the room the night before for collection

Loved everything about The Coachhouse …… the history of the buildings, the rooms were great, bathroom was spacious and Michael was an excellent, welcoming host who gave us a great start to the day with a delicious breakfast.
