A bit of a distance to local amenities, shops, restaurants etc. but that's the price of a quiet retreat in the countryside.

Sinead and Enda are lovely, very welcoming and the Barn has been beautifully restored. It is in a lovely setting, great to sit on the upstairs balcony with the view to the west.

It didn't bother us at all but If you really want a TV it doesnt have one so bring your own IT kit.

Lovely peaceful rural location with great views, but facilities nearby as this is self catering. Lovingly restored and maintained barn unit with mezzanine floor 'reading' room. Adjacent to national park and working farm. Central location for so many sights and attractions or just chill locally. Amazing hosts.

Sinead and Enda had the best hospitality, the house was clean and a very quiet neighbourhood. Romantic for a couple. It’s a home away from home. Highly recommended.

    Nothing.

We did not have any expectations, but if we would have, The Burren Barn would have exceeded them by miles. It is indeed a hidden gem with such nice and welcoming hosts + a super cozy, rather spacious and charming house with a lovely loft and big windows. Additionally, the house was well-equipped with whatever we needed. The local area around is simply stunning nature and perfect for hiking. The hosts had plenty of good recommendations for us on what to do and see based on our preferences. Enda drove us around by car and showed us some of The Burren with its beautiful mountains, landmarks and local pubs. We appreciated this as we got to see the area and learn more of Ireland and the local culture. Very informative indeed.

AMAZING HOUSE AMAZING VIEW AMAZING OWNERS We had so much troubles when we where in Ireland and they took great care of us… I highly recommend to stay there. The house is amazing. Well decorated. We felt like home over there. You even have a welcome box with coffee tea and drinks and the fridge was even filled up with milk orange juice and butter. They also have a wild range of leaflets of what to do around. I really do recommande a stay at the Burren barn. With my partner we are use to travel a lot and this is the first time of our life that we saw a holiday accomodation like that. Really. Also, you will find a super hiking near by! 15 min driving from there you will find a trail walk. Great spot. Thank you for everything Sinead and Enda ❤️

It was a lovely, quiet place but easy to reach local sites. House was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Enda and Sinead were really helpful and friendly, always making sure things were ok. Enda took us on an evening trip around the area, which he knows well. They had lots of thoughtful suggestions for places to go. We had some lovely days out and slept like logs! Food at The Field in Gort was very good. Two relaxing sunny afternoons on the beach at Flaggy Shore where the water was crystal clear. The narrow roads took a bit of getting used to as did finding road signs but that is very Irish!
