Friendly efficient staff, well appointed rooms , nice food & furnishings, would recommend & return

    • Deluxe Double & Single Room
    • Stayed 2 nights

The towels in the pool were v small.

Check- in was easy, reception staff very pleasant nice aroma in reception, well appointed room with comfy double & single bed.. very clean.. used the pool a few times, friendly staff and good facilities but could do with larger towels, barely covered our bits🙈 ate breakfast on 2 mornings, great selection of meats, cheeses, granola, fresh fruit, smoothies as well as cooked breakfast options, there was a separate Gluten/ dairy free food station ,again staff very pleasant. We had a lovely lunch in the bar one day. We walked everywhere that weekend but I believe that public transport options were near enough ..taxi from Temple Bar area was 16 eu, walked it in about 20mins..right across the road from Bord Gais Theatre so if in town for a show I would definitely recommend..it was on the pricey end but there were many concerts on that weekend, one of which we attended, so that's to be expected I guess!

The only negative comment would be that we where woken up twice by the room phone ringing at 5.30 in the morning for some strange reason

Breakfast was excellent with good choices and very attentive staff

The only complaints I have is that the kettle in the room had a bit of limescale staining on the bottom, which isn’t really a big deal because the water seemed very hard. The shower head in the bathroom wasn’t very clean but it was fairly powerful and heated up straight away! Otherwise, no complaints! Nice to have such a good hotel close to the 3Arena for concerts, and really handy that there’s a taxi rank/bus rank outside.

We didn’t have breakfast and were only there for one night, but the room was really comfortable and I loved the big sliding window, even though there was no access to the balcony, it was nice to have such a big window with a breeze. The beds were really comfortable and clean, I don’t think I’ve slept that well in a long time. The lady who helped us to check in on the screen at about 3:30pm on Tuesday the 25th of June was really lovely and showed us exactly how to check in, I didn’t catch her name. The bar staff were also really nice and helpful. The toilets in the Vertigo Bar were absolutely spotless - the drinks were good too! Checking out online was really helpful as myself and my sister were in a rush. The TV in the room was really easy to use, as opposed to other hotel TVs. It wasn’t very quiet at night but that was solely because of traffic outside, not because there was any noise coming from inside of the hotel.

The millions of emails in advance trying to get one to buy add ons were a little tedious. The man at the health club reception could have been friendlier.

Reception staff were friendly, rooms were nice and big, facilities were really good and quite clean.

The hot tub/jacuzzi was roped off/inoperable during our entire 4-day stay. There was no prior notification of this, and this was something we were planning on using.

The location was good; a bit of a walk to most things....fine if the weather is good. The breakfast was great. Rooms/beds were comfortable.

I paid for a late checkout yet got called to say the hotel policy was to checkout at 11. Made me feel uncomfortable even though u load the day before and updated my card.

Pool facilities although it was poor planning to have swimming lessons on a busy weekend which took up so much of the pool. We didn’t get much use of the pool.

Breakfast opened very late. Bar stopped serving food at 9.30 sharp and no restaurants in vicinity. Chinese takeaway 200m up road not a pleasant place to hang around late in evening (around hotel itself and towards DCC perfectly safe though)

Main problem with breakfast was it was so late- 7am on weekdays and 8am on weekend days, for anyone attending event in DCC you may not have time for breakfast. Often at 7am large queue of people to get in. I am very surprised a hotel catering to business travellers wouldn't open for breakfast earlier than that

The food in the Vertigo Bar was really subpar. Cardiff Lane pizza was missing flavor and Warner cooked enough on top. Turkey BLT had scorching hot (literally) turkey which made all the salads wilt and yucky. Drinks arrived after food despite ordering them prior to food.

Decor and cleanliness were great. All staff encountered were very nice and helpful.

The check in time and out. These have been altered since my last stay. I paid an extra £40 for 2 hours for a later check out.

The swimming pool is a big bonus. I didn't have meals in the hotel. There is an excellent supermarket nearby. Hotel is very easy going.

Took a bit of time to get seen upon arrival. I was early and check out was happening so the timing couldn't be helped but There is no clear queue system. Went from one queue that had 15+ people in it to another that had 4. The 15+ were one group and when that went the people behind me then got seen as I moved to the 4+. the 4 went then to a couple who seemed to have come to a stop on communication because I was behind them for ages! I only wanted to drop my bags off so I could go and explore , and it took at least 30 mins to get seen. After a long travel morning, it was annoying. The TV didn't work. I found that out after a night and day on the town.I have Tinititus so need a bit of background noise to drift off to sleep. I Called reception, and the person they sent up didn't know what was wrong. Was told maybe a room change but waiting an hour plus till I resigned the fact no one was coming. The telephone in the room had a bright red strobe light effect. So this going off with the Tinititus made for start of a poor sleep , but don't say something was happening if not . Especially at 12 am...woke up the next morning tried to get a coffee out of the Nespresso machine in the room. Leaked water into the cup holder and nothing in the cup. No caffeine hit before the Gym drained me... 😩. Breakfast was eye pleasing. Food was good, but only one coffee machine working meant a queue for a brew. When I got back to my food it was warm..there are 2 coffee machines but only one was working. I paid a fair bit for this room. Upgraded to get the best experience too! Just didn't feel the value for money. I spoke to the front of the house about the room issues. . They informed me " I am only the reception. I can't really do anything. Do you want to speak to the duty manager"? Well I have complained to you about the issues with my room so you should of spoke on my behalf.

Foyer. The smell that greeted you was amazing. Cleanliness,, Spa Facilities & Gym, Lifts, Support Staff were attentive and considerate and friendly. Room was clean.
