Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Quaint hotel - not the cookie cutter chain hotel. Staff was really great. Helped direct us to the city bus we needed and restaurants nearby.

GermanyThe only downside was the smell from the shower.
The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for me and the children. The hotel is located very close to Heuston train station where one can take the tram, train and busses in many directions. The staff is friendly and helps in any way they can.

United StatesIt seemed expensive, but that seems to be Dublin.
Location near an airport express bus stop. Hosts were very pleasant and helpful. It has an odd room arrangement. Room size is adequate for a few days. We had a room with twin beds.

United StatesThe room was pretty tight. Need more hangers for clothes. It’s helpful to hand things rather than live out of suitcase when you’re there for more than one night. A double bed should mean ONE bed, not 2 pushed together. Very Simple breakfast was extra cost.
Polite staff, reasonable price, near the Hop on, hop off bus and Euston station. Close to Guinness and a beautiful pub (Nancy Hands)

PortugalWe travelled in late September The room was quite cold at first (they have a heater which somewhat helps but the exterior walls appear to be quite thin which loses a lot of the heat). This was more noticeable in the beds near the windows. Although this is the case, we were able to sleep well due to the previously mentioned superb beds. Now, the only real big issue we had was the shower. Our room was room 314 and the shower faucet did not work very well. This made it such that when we tried to get temperate water, we either got scalding hot water with pressure or nearly no water pressure at all and cold water. Suffice to say, we couldn't take baths well. Our group has three girls and their hair (and skin) was damaged by the absolutely hot water. We did ask the reception of they could do anything about it, and they were friendly to the point that they turned off the boiler for the whole hotel. Sadly, this did not help at all. And even after 1 hour of burning ourselves the water temperature still did not decrease.
The staff were incredibly friendly and always showed availability. The beds, oh, the beds. First thing we were meet with when we arrived was an American guest leaving and saying the beds were superb. Well, he was absolutely right. They were indeed amazing! The breakfast doses available were very large and we could basically eat all we wanted for a strong breakfast. The proximity to Heuston Station (literally 2-3 minutes walking from the hotel) let us get around Dublin on the LUAS (surface metro) fast and easily. The proximity to (right next to) Phoenix Park let us have a leisurely walk through the park and we were even able to see the mentioned deer. All in all, nearly perfect. Only minus really was the shower experience.

United StatesThe only issues were related to the unusually hot weather Dublin was experiencing. There is no air conditioning and the hotel was very warm. We had to leave windows open which made the room much noisier than it would normally be.
I loved the location because it was far enough from downtown to be fairly quiet, tram line provided convenient transportation, and it was wonderful to be so close to Phoenix Park, which is gorgeous.

United KingdomI didn’t realise it was an accessible room with a walk in shower, which wasn’t a problem in itself but I could’ve used the shower head being higher. The shower also could’ve been hotter. There was a level crossing buzzer that was audible in the room all night even when the windows were closed and you were close to a busy road so not ideal if you’re a light sleeper.
The reception staff were very helpful and stored our bags for us, the bed was comfortable, the location was convenient for what we wanted to do.

United KingdomThere was nothing I didn’t like. Nothing that took away from my stsy.
The hotel is somewhat dated however it is clean and safe which are important factors to me. Quiet too. The staff are friendly and helpful to guests. Which is also important. Free wifi. Continental breakfast is available each morning. The location is excellent being close to the train station and a pickup location for the Airport Express. Phoenix Park is in the backyard so to speak, Kilmainham Goal, Museum of Modern Art and other attractions within walking distance. Near several ‘hop on/hop off’ bus stops for exploring Dublin. A few local pubs conveniently located around the corner and, the area has good foot traffic. We would stay here again and will recommend this hotel to any friends visiting Dublin who like the feel of a small, European hotel as opposed to a larger, impersonal corporate owned venue. Moore 🇨🇦
