Ann and Michael were perfect hosts, so friendly and generous. We stayed in the one bedroom self catering apartment which was spacious and light filled with a garden outlook. The location is within walking distance to shops, pubs and cafes, and a short drive to Galway.

We had a choice of five or six different freshly prepared hot meals every morning. Juice, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, and much more. Ann is a great cook and her husband, Michael was a fun, informed and engaging man about the whole place. Close enough to the village of Oranmore to walk for dinner with a couple of good restaurants. Also a twenty minute drive into Galway which is a cool town to walk around in and catch the boat to the Aran Islands.

A bit closer to the main road than we expected so quite a bit of traffic noise. Not the worst, just more than expected.

A beautiful large property well set up for guests as a b&b. Easy to find, great parking. Wonderful room and ensuite bathroom. Excellent breakfast space for all the guests.

Wonderful stay at a beautiful property with the best hosts you can hope for in a great area!

About the only thing we would have changed was staying in a different bedroom - #3 is probably the smallest one they have, and it is tight. The room could use a few more hooks to hang stuff up on. But again it was comfortable, and clean, and the water pressure in the shower is great so it met our needs.

From the time I entered the guest house I felt welcome. First, we arrived early afternoon after driving from Dublin (flew overnight from the US). Met Michael in the living room...knew this was my kind of place when I met him as he had on sandles, had his feet up on the table while lounging in the sofa, all the while working on his tablet responding to reviews from other visitors. Just a great casual and comfortable feel. Michael immediately made me feel welcome by sharing that there was one room available that we could use immediately. He asked our plans and made some great suggestions - first, unpack and then take a shower or power nap to rest up from flying through the night. He then gave me an itinerary that we could drive (going to Cliffden and Connemara area) once we were ready. It was the perfect advice and exactly what we needed. We stayed two nights and were very comfortable in our clean and cozy bedroom (#3). Breakfast each morning was fabulous, Ann is a great cook and took care of us. I love that we were given the option of different times to eat breakfast...ranging from 7:30 to 9:30. Don't often see that flexibility in a B&B (one reason we don't often stay in them). The location is great, south of Galway but near to everything. Since we had a rental car we could get anywhere we needed to go but there is a Lidl a block away as well as a couple of restaurants. The house is beautiful and well decorated but not with too much stuff. The grounds are pretty as well. The 'sunroom' is a great spot for breakfast. Parking can be a little tight but there are enough spots for everyone if people take advantage of the spots available Michael and Ann are the consummate hosts and you can see why there guesthouse is booked solid. Love that Michael is so helpful with guidance on places to go, recommendations for restaurants, etc. Also love that Ann is a hugger.

There was nothing I did not appreciate. Anne and Michael are extraordinary hosts and their welcome and care were so genuine and generous.

My goodness, Anne and Michael go to every length to provide a wonderful, restful, beautiful experience for their guests. Every aspect of their lodge, including the magnificent garden and flowers and lovingly-prepared food, made my stay so memorable. I hope I can return.
