Although everything was amazing the only thing I’d say is The bar area where we got dinner was missing atmosphere.. a bit of music and a bit more friendliness/happiness from the staff wouldn’t have gone a stray but still good service

Breakfast was exceptional so much variety and all so tasty! The breakfast restaurant itself is stunning. Met a lovely staff member I think her name is Iona (Ukrainian) who was soo lovely, brilliant service and great with my baby too! Big thanks!

The room was dark - not great for those who'd like to preserve their eyesight while visiting a book reading land? - but we contrived a workaround, and got more used to it. Our price was 35% more than last year (but some options may possibly have disappeared when I booked 5-6 months ago)?

Ferrycarrig remains a beguiling experience. A packed early breakfast at 6:50am was an unexpected option on our final morning, and I used the swimming pool during our third visit! Good to notice some evidence of option(s) for festival opera visitors though a fuller picture only became clear very late in the day.

The lift not working was a bore. And the pool not opening till 9 on Sunday is infuriating!

Breakfast was very generous. The porridge, yoghurt, cheese and soda bread were great. The scrambled eggs were a bit overcooked and the juices were poor. But staff were lovely, the view is gorgeous and we love the place!

Went down for a swim in their pool only to find swimming club of some sort there training taking up lanes.

Our room was right above the leisure centre and we were woken up at 7.30am by thumping music one morning! That said, we called down to the front desk and it was sorted out very quickly.

- The front desk staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and were very helpful throughout our stay. - We were impressed with the spacious room and the amazing views over the river! - We had dinner in the bar both nights, and really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. - We also loved having access to the leisure centre jacuzzi and sauna after a long, wet day of walking. - Great breakfast in a beautiful setting, with amazing views of the sun rise.

Our room temperature was too hot & as the temperature is centrally regulated we couldn’t do anything about it. There was even a notice in the room explaining this. The hotel is very nice but parts of it are getting a little shabby & tired, for example threadbare carpet & torn curtains.

Lovely location but need a car to get there. The staff were great & the casual restaurant was convenient & value for money. Our room was large for a hotel room.

This was our second stay at Ferrycarrig and was just as relaxing as our first stay. We had a 4th floor room with a balcony so had a great view of the estuary. The hotel was our centre for exploring Wexford, Waterford, Dublin and the south coastline and gave us a base to relax, enjoy the excellent food & drink in Reeds Restaurant & the Dock Bar.

While not the responsibility of the hotel the SatNav directions to the hotel weren’t helpful and kept sending us to Wexford!

The view from our room over the estuary was stunning, with lots of varied birdlife visible from our room - Grey Heron, Little Egret, House Martins, etc. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and spacious and the breakfast varied.
