    Leaving

The location was just wonderful! This area is representative of the romantic vision I carry from my childhood memories growing up in Ireland. Our culture is alive and well throughout the country and we are very fortunate to still have it to share! My advice is to get there early enough to spend an hour and take a stroll in daylight. There is a beautiful grotto with the Virgin Mary left out the gate and then right at the crossing and walk in total 10 mins to it. Whether you are religious or not you will surely be glad walked there. Walk facing oncoming traffic while on a country road and you will be safe. Also out the gate to the right you can walk for a couple of Kilometers past farms. You might meet Bailey the brown lab just up the road if she barks tell her “ go to bed Bailey“ shes all bark:) Gypsy the dog here at the Farmstead made my visit here extra special following my car down the road as I left prompting me to pull over for a second goodbye. Whatever you do mnake sure to visit “The Bianconi“ for lunch or dinner( always best to drive back before dark if you’re new to Irish country roads. Town is 10 minute drive and a lovely town to spend an hour or two. Beatiful bridge over a gorgeous big river. I know I am long winded but I do it for you:) Say hello to Eileen and her Mother Eileen who I had the pleasure to meet next door. Cows are next door in the evening for a photo Op:)

Would have liked more fresh fruit and juices and variety of cereals and milks for breakfast, however, cooked breakfast was lovely.

Really beautiful accommodation, very clean and modern design. Great rain shower too in a really lovely bathroom. Warm welcome from the host Eileen.

The room could be equipped with a TV. This is not a complaining, suggestion perhaps.

Eileen is an amazing lady. When I arrived I got a very warm welcome. My bed was very comfy, the bathroom situated opposite my room was lovely. The next morning Eileen served a tasty Irish breakfast. I've stayed for a very short period, but really enjoyed my stay. Couldn't recommend it enough .

Hosts were very warm, helpful and kind. Eileen even heated and plated up my son's take away! Their dogs were great too. It was super clean and fresh, and the rooms were big with great views. The tea and coffee facilities and breakfast were in the same room which encouraged guests to chat with each other.

The bedroom was a little small but still very comfortable. The bathroom was also along the hallway outside of the room. We forgot to ask for a double bed and ended up in a twin which is entirely on me.

The place was very cozy. Eileen was very welcoming and provided us with recommendations and tips which became very helpful! She made our stay feel like we’re family visiting for a holiday. I had pancakes for breakfast and it was really good and truly homemade. We only stayed for a night because they were fully booked at booking.com so we chose another place for the next night but I would’ve preferred to stay here instead.
