The shower pan is only about 1/2" or less tall. Easy to flood over. Used all towels to dry floor.

Great location! Easy walk to nearest pubs and shopping.

It was a bit colder room when outside weather was windy and rainy (but no one expected to be heating on in the beginning of August.

Very friendly people, the invitation by the owner (I assume), free and spaceful car parking, large room, kettle with coffee and tea in the room. Very handy location close to cliffs of Moher - 6 minutes drive - we were there first visitors in the morning

I'm happy to give Doolin House a decent review because it was a last-minute booking. It's centrally located which was great. The rooms are new, clean, and spacious but unremarkable. Just a good place to stay with no frills. No breakfast, which was fine because we had an amazing breakfast up the road at the Doolin Cafe. No reliable Wifi Internet at the time of writing which I think can be easily fixed.

Cleanliness was very poor. Black hairs on pillow and in shower. One bed next to the window had lots of small bits of dirt on top of it, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages.

Nice spacious bedroom for 2 of us. Bed was comfy. Nice man to greet us

WiFi did not work in room only by front door. Thought it was bed and breakfast but only a room. Walls are thin. No information how to reach host once checked in. Saw host for five minutes in checking. Not in morning or any access. I think it’s a new business. Appreciate that. Needs some polishing

We had wonderful couple of days at Doolin House. It has a perfect location and very lovely hosts. Room was spacy and has everything we need. It's indeed not the newest house and furniture is not so fresh, but in this area I hardly can imagine to have a better accommodation for this price. House has a lovely view on the hills and overall stay was nothing but enjoyable. Very recommended

the photos, are seven years old from back when this place looked and, I imagine, operated, something like a B&B. We arrived on two bikes with panniers having cycled across Ireland from Dublin Port. Despite letting the owner know this and that we would arrive between 5 and 6pm, the host was nowhere to be found. I located him mowing at the back of the property. This put us on a bit of an awkward dynamic, as if I was in imposition not a guest. He showed us to a room at the back of the property. On the way he pointed to some tatty wooden decking where the bins are and suggested we leave our bikes there. Because of the awkwardness, upon stepping off the tarmac through the tape-flecked patio door and seeing the double bed I did not immediately ask if there was any possibility to make this into a twin. In fact there was no eye contact, no conversation to check that there was a remote control for the TV or a plug for the bath, or, come to that, a bath mat. To add to the poor facilities, the bathroom door did not shut properly or lock, the wi-fi did not reach our room and there was no way to get any heat into the radiator. A few minutes later I found the owner raking grass in the side field. I Tried to explain that my 17 year old son was ill and we really needed two beds. Did he have a camp bed? Some blankets to spread on the floor? I was not listened to. Instead, the owner impressed upon me that what I had needed to book was a triple room for the two of us and that they cost 1/3 more. He seemed to be insinuating that I had purposefully paid less and wanted more for my money. I had paid for a room for two people. I checked with Booking.com. I had requested that the room be adapted to a twin three weeks before arriving. The owner had accepted that request. When an elderly couple arrived and took the room next door things became worse still. All that divid

The place was clean enough and in a good location.

This is not a five-star hotel, but it does not pretend to be. Look elsewhere to have every whim catered to down to the most minute detail. And it's true breakfast is no longer offered. However, Doolin House is more than adequate lodging for a stay in Doolin, and breakfast is available at several nearby pubs a short walk away. Our room was large and comfortable, with a double and a twin bed, a spacious closet nook, a small but comfortable desk/dressing table with mirror and chair, nightstands, a TV, a clean bathroom that included a tub/shower combination, and a lovely view of the hills and sheep. We felt the price was reasonable. We only had a brief interaction with Michael during checkin, but Anne was a delight the next morning before we left. She graciously accepted my halting attempts to use my "cúpla focal," responding with her own native Connemara Irish, and we had a warm exchange. I was invited into their own sitting room to wait while my traveling companion finished preparations for leaving, and was presented with hot coffee and tea plus a generous assortment of sweet treats. All in all, the entire stay was a most satisfactory experience and we would defiintely stay there again. My traveling companion wishes to add, in Irish: D’fhán muid in “Doolin House” oíche amháin. Bhí sé fíor-chompórdach agus iontach glan agus ní raibh sé ach siúlóid beag bídeach ón teach tábhairne inar chaith muid an oíche ag ceolchoirm. Bhí Michael ann le fáilte a chuir romhainn agus bhí comhrá iontach deas againn le Anne an lá dar gcionn. Gaeilge álainn Chonamara atá ag Anne agus bhí sé galánta í a chloisteáil. Is léir ó na grianghrafanna uilig atá le feiceáil don theaghlach gur seo lánúin atá lán de chroí agus de ghrá. Dóibh siúd atá ag clamhsán fán luach cuimhnigí gur seo ceann de na sraidbhailte is cáiliúla i gCondae a’ Chláir agus nach bhfuil Doolin House ach 9km ó Aillte an Mhothair. Míle buíochas libh beirt a Anne agus Michael.
