Very near the centre of town and easy walking distance of lots of restaurants, shops etc. the accommodation was clean and tidy and well maintained. They also provided a lot of additional extras like bread, cake, cereals as well as tea and coffee. The apartment was really comfortable I also met two of their dogs. Friendly and incredibly well behaved.

The location was fantastic , right on edge of town . Superb apartment with great facilities , so comfortable. Really a great little gem and perfect base for touring this wonderful area . We will love to come back and stay again .

Everything was perfect! The location, the interior, the beds were so darn comfy :) a walk-in shower, shower gel and shampoo were provided, the kitchen with all its appliances were new and in absolute perfect conditions! Walk into town was like 10 minutes. Overall it was just perfect!

We toured Ireland for 2 weeks and Buttermilk was our favorite lodging, hands down! Everything was perfect. Cathriona is a fantastic host and made herself available for any question we had. She even gave us a bag of apples so we could go visit her ponies. Breakfast was superb, best we had during our entire trip. My husband said we need to go back to Ireland just to stay at Buttermilk!

We stayed in BnB's almost exclusively during our 2 weeks in Ireland and the Buttermilk was hands down the best of all. The room was lovely, breakfast out of this world and easy walk to town.

The room was nice and warm, breakfast was delicious and the staff were very nice. The position is also great, you can walk to the town centre instead of taking the car. We would definitely go back.

We had a really great stay at Buttermilk. The lodge is surrounded by greenery but 5 minutes walk from Clifden centre. The staff is super nice, the structure and rooms are cozy and clean and breakfasts are GREAT! It's a perfect position to visit Connemara and would absolutely recommend it.

This was the best accommodation I stayed at in Ireland. The hosts were great and the breakfasts delicious. I was even given a pot of tea and warm cake on arrival!

We liked absolutely everything about this wonderful guest house. Room was spacious, clean, equipped with bath products and area information……and the bed was very comfortable. It’s a five minute walk into town, so once you park your car for the evening, there’s no need to move it again. Breakfast is a variety of cold and hot with fantastic homemade breads to boot. Warm and welcoming hosts……what more could you ask for.
