Well equipped, easy access , very clean, well kept with lots of local information.

Only issue is the bed has 2 single mattress and 2 single doonas pushed together but otherwise all good.

Great remote location and views. Had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. Provided a number of little extras / treats on arrival.

We liked everything. Perhaps a little more wood to make a nice fire. Only 3 logs. But I'm sure we could have bought from the local. Thank you so much Carola and Steffen.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Excellent communication from our hosts all the way through. Easy to access home. Spotlessly clean. It was more beautiful and special than the pictures even gave us. Very well equipped kitchen Warm and cosy Attention to details like the lap blankets in the gorgeous sun room area .... Our favourite first thing in the morning. It was peaceful and felt so safe. Very comfortable beds Showers good. Plenty hot water.

Unfortunately it’s not very sound proof with the apartment below so you can hear a lot if they are noisy guests. That would be the only issue. Beautiful location though.

Loved the welcome basket. The decor and layout was well thought out. Nicely equipped even with books and games. Extra blankets and beautiful windows were awesome. We were able to see the stars. Not far from Galway about 35 minutes. Nice little towns close by.

The oil diffusers & potpourri. We’re allergic! Smoke alarms went off in our unit from (apparently) burnt toast downstairs & we couldn’t shut them off til folks downstairs did theirs!

Lovely peaceful location, great base to explore the Burren with easy access to Galway also. The house was so well stocked with everything you might need for a short break, probably the best I've ever seen. Lots of extras for the kids aswell, toys, books etc. Host was very responsive also and provides lots of information.

More pillows are needed! Many of us, especially those aging, need more than one pillow to support our head, knees, etc.

We stayed in the downstairs part which had exclusive use of the garden which was lovely. The facilities were excellent and clean. Kitchen was well stocked and overall couldn’t fault the place. Quiet location and perfect for quiet restful stop.

The weather - but that wasn't the fault of the owners!!

We catered for ourselves so have no comment on service and food. The apartment was the very best I have ever used. There were little notes to explain things all over the place; it was absolutely spotless, VERY well equipped and really I don't think it could have been bettered.

Awesome, this is all I could say about Atlantic Retreat Lodge and their owners. We were provided with everything we would need, and more.

Well, we had a great experience and the service apartment exceeded our expectations in almost every regard. I guess the only thing that might help are a clearer set of directions to the utility room for first floor apartment renters. We needed to use the washing machine at one point and didn't want to try and open doors on the ground floor in the middle of the night as there was another family staying there - other than this minor observation, we absolutely loved the service apartment and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

The service apartment was quite cosy and exceptionally clean. The kitchen was very well stocked - we had carried some utensils, oil etc. with us but none of them were required as the hosts had provided ample utensils and basic condiments (salt, oil, sugar) already. The instructions to use the utensils were quite clear and we loved the notes that pointed towards keeping luggage, shoes, etc - very well thought out. There were a few board games which our son enjoyed playing. We had a fab stay.

NO air, bed very uncomfortable and NO wash rags. When two people are there for three nights it should be 6 wash rags.
