Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We’re currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil, and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe area was within walking distance to all of the cool sites, restaurants and pubs. Very quiet at night and the staff was kind and helpful

United States of AmericaA lovely B&B. I really enjoyed my beautiful room and very comfy bed. Larger people may find the tiny bathroom a wee bit tight, but it was perfect for me. I loved the combo rain shower. Less than ten minute walk to Eyre Square, Train Station and Latin Quarter bustling area. Bus Stop right down the street. Staff wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed my 5-day stay.

United States of AmericaI didn’t like that there wasn’t a lobby or small gathering space to wait for our group. The pillows were also lumpy and uncomfortable.
The property was fine for what we needed. It was clean and close enough to downtown, although I do wish there was a little more to do in the immediate vicinity.

GermanyThe lower bed of the bunk bed doesn't allow for much room. If you're noise sensitive be aware that it's not that soundproof.
It was a very cozy room, with little room but perfect for me. Coffee and tea were being provided and the employees were very friendly and nice. The distance to the city center is walkable it was easy to find.

AlbaniaThe room and especially the bathroom were tiny, and we could have enjoyed a small fridge in the room, but this didn't ruin our trip either as we were out most of the time. As a base for Just sleeping it is ok
The room was in a quite location, 10 min walk to the center of Galway, easy to find, easy check in and check out process.

United KingdomThe walls were a bit thin, especially the one right by reception.
Nice guesthouse with comfortable rooms, nice staff, great location five min walk to town centre, 30min walk to river. There were a couple of parking spaces out front and paid on street parking.

United States of AmericaIt was pricey. $300/night. No breakfast, parking was up for grabs. Can’t park in street after 8a, would get up early to move into a spot on facility as soon as someone left. Our room was very very hot. We had a family of 4 in our room.
The location was great. The staff was very nice. Very clean

CanadaMore of an options for pillows. The ones they have are very hard, and I ended up using the throw pillow on the second night.
The room was fine, but the pillows are very hard. And they didn’t have any others. It was quite noisy throughout the night, as it was race week, and there was quite a few youngsters.

SwitzerlandThe only thing I wished for was a shelf space in the shower. But it was not a big problem.
I had the single room and it was super cozy. It felt like my own bedroom. The room is small but there is everything you need and I wished to stay longer. The people at the reception were also very friendly and gave me nice recommendations on what to do during my stay. Since its not located directly in the center (about 10min walk), it was also very quiet at night. If I visit Galway again I‘ll definitely come back to the Urban Nest Townhouse.
