Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesShower water pressure is a bit low, but otherwise nothing bad to say.
Close walking distance to restaurants, shops, scooter rentals, currency exchange, street market, monkey forest BUT away from the noise. Has its own waterfall which brings a calm to your stay. Has a terrace with a large comfortable sofa/bed you can lounge on and enjoy the sounds of nature with green all around you. We enjoyed it every morning. Staff was very friendly. All tap water is drinkable.

United KingdomWe accidentally booked the room with just a fan not realising and it got very hot at times during the night. I’d book the rooms with AC if I came again
We enjoyed our time here, it was the perfect location to explore Ubud and set back from the main roads which can be hectic. The place was really relaxing and we even extended our stay. Good recommendations for laundry and food which we appreciated.

NetherlandsEspecially in the little bungalow, you are emerged in the tropical nature of the garden. We really liked it, but for some people, this might be a little much (with cicak and tokeh nearby, for example). The road is not accessible for cars, but it's only a few minutes' walk to places where you can be picked up or get a taxi. It was no problem for us.
Beautiful place in a good location. Because of the small scale and the seating area outside, it felt very homely. The rooms are fine, they had everything we needed. The setting inside the garden is great as well. We felt really welcome, communication was easy, and there was a possibility to have breakfast served in front of your room by the restaurant across the street. Ubud center, the rice field walk and most main attractions are easy to reach from the place. Also many restaurants and cafes around.

AustraliaLoved it all
White Lotus is literally an Oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud amist a jungle type of location and only minutes to the centre of Ubud. It was private and quiet apart from the small waterfall running into the river along side which is lovely to listen to during the day. Maybe some earplugs for the evening if you're a light sleeper.

AustraliaMy host was delightful, as were the staff and location. It truly was an Oasis! Having a waterfall as your backdrop is amazing, and being so close to the tranquility of the Kajeng rice paddies is a bonus.

United KingdomJust probably could do with a bit of TLC … things have got a bit rundown, but in some ways, this almost adds to the charm of the place❤️
The location is superb … right in the midst of all the action & yet in a little side street, so very quiet and in a beautiful setting, surrounded by trees and the sound of a waterfall.

Location: less than 10 min walk to Ubud main road. There is a small waterfall right behind the property.

Very close to the Main street with lots of good restaurants nearby, but this place is very quiet and close to nature. There’s a waterfall inside the hotel, it’s very healing that I fell asleep with waterfall sound every night. Also each room has a spacious balcony, for me it’s a good place to meditate and just relax. Staying here is also one of important part of my spiritual journey. I feel very lucky that I chose to stay here.

AustraliaProbably the only small detail was the night lights for the stairs needed to be on and I didn’t have block out curtains to prevent the lights from shining in my room.

AustraliaWater pressure in shower is not good.
Great size room with verandah and large daybed-table & chairs and good size fridge. Good aircon and mosquito net over bed. The peace & quiet of the jungle garden with the sound of the waterfall, but very close to the centre! Lots of market stalls on the busy narrow street and it is difficult to get a car close enough for drop off with luggage, so be aware that you may need to walk around 300 metres.
