Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PeruBreakfast is very little, that is something they need to improve. The door is always locked from the inside of the room and to open it you need to use the key which is very weird. Another thing to improve is the cleaning daily service.
The location was very convenient for the heart of Ubud, right next to the monkey forest sanctuary. Everyday you can see monkeys all around the hotel, by the pool and stairs which is amazing and funny at the same time. The staff is very helpful

United KingdomI hate monkeys and this is not a place to stay if you’re scared of monkeys. The staff do a good job at shooing the monkeys away but they are just everywhere in the hotel

SingaporeThe naughty monkeys, usually they hang around the property near lunch time. The bathroom in our room requires some work, especially the ceiling, it's kind of moldy. It will be nice to have a tv in the room.
It's located near the central of ubud, there are restaurants, shops, and mini markets around. Only a mins away walk to monkey forest. The staffs are friendly, room is big enough, but a bit old. The pool is cozy.

United KingdomYou’re right by the monkey forest and the monkeys chill around the property, so if you’re scared of them it might not be for you!
Excellent value for money with spacious rooms and a decent breakfast. Pool was lovely although could use more umbrellas to have the option of shade

AustraliaThe toilets were stained, wooden bathroom door was cracked, fly screen in the bathroom was completely removed. Lots & lots of lizards in the room. Monkeys on site frequently at breakfast time - they knock over food & intimidate guests. I know staff try their best to keep them away but it doesn't seem possible. Lots of traffic noise throughout the night and into the morning.
Great location & our son enjoyed the swimming pool. The room was cleaned daily. Staff were friendly & helpful. We were a family of five who stayed for 3 nights. They were kind enough to accommodate older parents in a room on the lower floor. The price for accommodation in Ubud in this location was excellent.

NetherlandsA lot of tiny flies.
Very beautiful place in a nice street with a lot of stores and restaurants around. This place is next to the monkey forest so if you’re scared of them wouldn’t recommend to book it. Even tho the animals don’t come too close they can be pretty intimidating. Further the places was good and staff was friendly. The pool was great and it also has a nice breakfast!

We booked Wenara Bali Bungalows because it was very close to our previous hostel (which had a very good location) but because it was booked out we had to move. We were really glad to experience our further stay with Wenara Bali. The prices for the rooms are very reasonable. The location is great, right next to the monkey forest (please expect monkeys running around here and there on the property) and also close to a lot of shops and restaurants. The stuff was very friendly. Rooms clean. And the breakfast we had included was delicious.

AustraliaIf I want to talk with someone form the staff from my room because I couldn’t go out of it, it was impossible, or at least they answered my message one day later
The location is one of the best thing of this bungalows. An important one is that the Monkey Forest is just at the back of the property, so you always see monkeys.

JapanBreakfast was very underwhelming. One night there was a power outage for an hour or so. Staff's English wasn't always good.

New ZealandA little more shelter from the sun over the pool/around the pool area would be ideal.
The location is fantastic, lots of great restaurants close-by and the monkey sanctuary as well. We loved watching the monkeys in the hotel grounds from our rooms and the staff with their monkey slingshots were hilarious. We only ended up having breakfast once of the 4 mornings we were there due to activities planned early in the day before hotel breakfast started. But the one breakfast we did have was good.
