Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe only downside in my eyes is the traffic noise, the intensity of which depends on the proximity and level of your room in relation to the main road. As far as I am concerned, the advantages of Wenara far outweigh this disadvantage.
I loved Wenara Bali Bungalows, my traveling companion was less enamored. You are right in the midst of things here, which comes with advantages and disadvantages. The proximity to Monkey Forest meant that monkeys were in abundance at certain times of the day, which I loved. The staff were friendly and helpful, and arranged motorbike rentals for us. Breakfast was tasty. The grounds are beautifully landscaped.

PortugalWiFi wasn’t great.
First and foremost, I came because of the reviews that mentioned there were monkeys in the hotel and it didn’t disappoint! We saw some monkeys in the hotel which was quite fun. The breakfast was nice. The room was comfortable and the water of the shower remained hot for the duration of the shower which doesn’t always happen in Indonesia.

New CaledoniaBreakfast is very simple and you are not allowed to ask for more butter or jam. Most of the staff is kind except one who is not friendly at all and made us very uncomfortable.
The place is near to everything, even monkeys in front of your door.

AustraliaThere is no safe in the room but you can keep your valuables in the clothes cupboard which you have a key to or your suitcase. You cannot leave anything outside or really eat outside without being vigilant. The monkeys will be there in a flash but will go away if you shoo them also.
The rooms were lovely, but if you are on the 2nd floor beware that there are no lifts! There are constantly monkeys around being right beside the sanctuary, so if you don't like that or want that, I would advise you not to go. The bathroom is nice and big with nice showers but mine didn't have much water pressure and sort of went all over the place. The breakfast is pretty basic and didn't suit me as I don't eat eggs, but I found other places nearby which were good. The hotel is right on the corner of Monkey Forest Road and Bisma II so there are constantly bikes using this as a cut through and they beep their horns incessantly which I found a little annoying. If you want quiet throughout the day then this is not for you. It is easy to get anywhere from the hotel though and there are plenty of "marts" around and good restaurants or massage places within a very short walking distance. The pool was nice and there was always a chair available, but it wasn't heated so was a little cold for my liking.

AustraliaNothing in particular was a drawback for me. Though it could do with a bit of a spruce up around the linens department as one of the towels I had did have a bit of a hole towards the edge and was fraying, though aside from that they were all clean and the staff even straighten the bed up and did a quick house cleaning during each day.
Nice location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. the pool was great and the room was good, the A/ C was wonderful in my room so much so that I had to chuck on a jumper before I went to bed 😂. Breakfast was fast to come out and delicious though a little basic in what was offered I didn't mind and the eggs were always nice and fresh.

PeruBreakfast is very little, that is something they need to improve. The door is always locked from the inside of the room and to open it you need to use the key which is very weird. Another thing to improve is the cleaning daily service.
The location was very convenient for the heart of Ubud, right next to the monkey forest sanctuary. Everyday you can see monkeys all around the hotel, by the pool and stairs which is amazing and funny at the same time. The staff is very helpful

SingaporeThe naughty monkeys, usually they hang around the property near lunch time. The bathroom in our room requires some work, especially the ceiling, it's kind of moldy. It will be nice to have a tv in the room.
It's located near the central of ubud, there are restaurants, shops, and mini markets around. Only a mins away walk to monkey forest. The staffs are friendly, room is big enough, but a bit old. The pool is cozy.
