Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Australiawe didnt know there was a meal / accommodation / diving package as we booked through booking.com, as a result we had to order our food everyday. unfortunately the food took forever to come out, secondly the food wasnt great for the price we paid and being so remote you had no other option but to eat at the restaurant. If you book with the web site you can line up a dive, food and accommodation package which could work out cheaper and better value
its a one stop shop, dive, accommodation and food the reef Infront of the accommodation is amazing accommodation had a great beach view and accommodations was simple and was great. staff are really helpful with order scooters and day activities

PortugalMy reservation did not "come through" and the hotel was full. A room for 2 nights was found (I booked 3). They "upgraded" me to a Seaview room, but it meant I got to stay next to their loud, private party. Later, they were able to print the Booking.com confirmation, to show me the rates, so after all, they did have the booking. I booked diving, 2 days, 2 dives per day. On the 2nd day, I was getting ready, when the Dive Manager told me: sorry, the boat is full... They didn't care I had a booking. Nothing was done by the hotel management to try to rectify the situation, or inform me sooner. In fact I had to go to them to find out what was happening. They are not proactive, there is a big lack of communication and in the end, there was no compensation for any of my trouble. Overall, beautiful place, but unfortunately, with poor management. Besides these issues, the food is of low quality. One day, dinner was plain rice, with vegetables from the freezer (zero flavour) and some chicken that was more bone than meat. Sad for a country that has such a rich food culture.
Beautiful rooms and location. Very clean.

Germanywe had only breakfast, when we ordered food we had to wait till all the full board guests had theirs. we didn’t feel welcome from the owner( peter) he always takes to high prieces and we are not the only ones that complained about that. the manger of the scuba company is also far away form being professional. if you stay here search another scuba option. much cheaper the beautiful jetty on thepictures is realy destroyed there is also not one comfortable place at the resort where you can chill, only woodenchairs with no pillows
nice view if you have a bungalow with Oceanside

FranceSmell of fuel near the restaurant. Hot water only for 50 seconds in the shower. Food was terrible. Only the fresh juice was good and the chicken sandwich . We stay only 2 nights to get to the ferry near by.

United KingdomAs a vegetarian the food is ok. everything seemed to be a side dish instead of a complete meal. The resort needs someone in charge to provide good hospitality to their guests and make sure everyone is ok and feeling welcome. We did not feel this and felt quite let down by the lack of the personal touches throughout our stay.
the rooms are really nice. hot water and air conditioning is great.

United StatesIn raja ampat, accomodation is only one piece of the whole experience. The service (tours and dives) the resort provides is very important. And the scuba and snorkeling services Waimo Resort provided me were very disappointing. I did one dive and they took me to the reef right in front of the resort in a day the conditions were not good (not great visibility). With so many place in a short boat ride, I am sure there must have been a better alternative but they just didn't put an effort to make it a better experience to the client. They also charged me for the transfer from the harbor without telling me (It was a cheap ride but they just didn't communicate I'm advance). The resort was pretty empty and they put me literally right in front of the area where they were having a construction so there machine and hammering noise all day long. It just seemed to me they didn't care about providing a great experience.
It's close to the harbor. Beds are ok. Clean.
