The place where the massage/ spa was located. It needs some renovation.

I enjoyed the buffet and the fresh fruits for breakfast. The villa was amazing and very clean and the staff were really very attentive, friendly, smiling and positive. All our requests were fulfilled in the best way possible.

The setting was beautiful, excellent pool, room was amazing, we had a garden room, staff were brilliant. The location is superb. It is very quiet and there are plenty of excellent eateries within 5 minutes walk. 300m to monkey forest which you can skirt round to walk to town. Main town Ubud is crazy busy so this is a haven that is just right. I made a video on my YouTube channel, StuWNZ.

Monkey Forest south entrance is closed, you can only access it from the north.

We are very happy with our stay in Villa Sonia. The staff is incredibly kind, and by sunset they will come to your room and place a device to get rid of bugs, so thanks to that we had none in the sleeping area. Also, the hotel is located in a quiet area, but still close to local restaurants and markets. And finally the restaurant is of very high quality at a good price, plus the included breakfast varies between days and allows you to try different balinese/indonesian quality food.

We noticed hotel staff took a share of the ticket costs when they helped us arrange a ferry to Nusa Penida.

This is no doubt one of the best hotels for our stay in Bali. I would give this hotel more than 10 stars if I can. We booked 5 rooms for our family of 10 people, including our parents and small kids from my brother's family. Everyone was so happy with everything the hotel has to offer, including the pool, the beautiful hotel ground, the breakfast, and the hotel staff. As avid gardeners, we really appreciate the the beautiful green vegetation within the hotel. We can't be happier with our rooms which are all spacious, have nice views of either the garden or the pool, and have very nice bathrooms. Just outside the hotel, there are many local restaurants and our favorite restaurant, which offers a great selection of food at a very fair price, is just right across the street. The hotel location is great. It's just a 10 min walk to central Ubud through the monkey forest.

Loved it. Huge, light and beautiful room with lovely balcony overlooking the gorgeous tropical paradise pool area. Wonderful staff and service, good breakfast and excellent location. Lots of good restaurant on the street. Quiet location too. Very highly recommended

We loved villa Sonia. We only had two nights here but wished we had longer. We also got the honeymoon package when we stayed there. The dewi spa package was the best massage I’ve had on this three week trip. Food was amazing on site. Also is only ten minutes walk to the monkey forest. The staff could not have done more for us. We also did the cooking class on site which was amazing, the food was unreal and they even provided us with a certificate at the end. The chef was lovely.

There isn't a door on the bathroom and it could do with a stronger fan.

On a quiet street, walking distance to some great restaurants and the monkey forest. Good base to travel around Ubud. Great amenities, very thoughtful with mosquitos coils/sticks throughout the day. Breakfast was varied.

The bathrooms got a bit stuffy, but nothing that opening the door couldn't help! We were vegan and didn't have many options in the included breakfast, but with Mama's just down the road (vegan croissants!) we didn't even ask for them to accommodate.

The property was beautiful, serene, and went above and beyond our expectations for our stay. The pools were wonderful, our room was spacious & the outdoor shower felt luxurious. Upon our arrival, there were flowers & a crib setup for our little one even though we hadn't asked for it specifically — above and beyond!! We were staying in the village for a training at Bumi Sehat and everything was walkable, the proximity to Nyuh Kuning was perfect, and when we return again... we definitely plan to stay again! Perfect spot for families with kids with so much outdoor space (we booked a garden suite) and my son LOVED the kitties so much.

We loved the breakfast buffet but sometimes the food was cold as the hot plates were not always on to keep the food warm.

This is my second time staying at Villa Sonia and am always surprised by the staff, the breakfast buffet and the grounds and facilities. The room was spacious and the pool was refreshing given the heat and humidity.

Nothing. This place is a gem.

Beautiful oasis tucked away from the chaos of Ubud. Gardens are immaculate, breakfasts fresh and delicious. And the staff are next level in terms of genuine earmarks friendliness. They helped organise tour to Mt Batur, driver to take us to waterfalls. And we did the cooking class and got a massage there and both were great. Pool is idyllic.

We returned to this beautiful place in a quiet area of Ubud and we had another pleasant stay. This time we booked a room on the upper floor which was large and with really pretty interior details. We also had a big terrace which looked over the whole garden. The bedroom overall was clean and bright. The pool, the garden, the restaurant and the staff are really nice. Keep it up!
