One thing we wish we knew before booking, though it was manageable is that the villa is split into 2 fully independent “zones” (2 bedroom one side, 1 bedroom the other side) with no inside go-through : at night with young kids, this means you cannot really lock the villa if you want to leave a chance to your young kids to come and look for their parents in case of issues ; which can be felt uncomfortable to leave them in an unlock bedroom (unless you lock them from outside but they might struggle to unlock if any problem).

Beautiful, quiet, private location. Close to beach, restaurants and shops. Staff were amazing. So helpful with organising drivers for the day and coming every morning to clean and make a lovely breakfast for us. Hope the female staff members daughter had a wonderful 5th birthday. (forget her name, sorry) who came to clean and make breakfast. 😊. Highly recommend.

I can not fault this place at all and I am envious of the Villa owner as it is just an overall great place. Secluded and quiet, but only a 5 minute walk to some great restaurants. Great staff and Made the chef whipped us up some great local delicacies for breakfast 😋

Absolutely fantastic haven of tranquility. Gorgeous home, pool all to ourselves in a lovely garden setting. Staff all excellent, especially Made. Breakfast made everyday. Lovely warning Puspa at top of street across the busy road. Lots of cafes and restaurants to eat but on busy main road. Supermarket nearby. Recommend candidates and this spot if you need a reset and time to yourselves by your own pool in resort standard surrounds. Will definitely go back when we need a good rest and relax. Worth the 90 minutes from airport drive to walk into our own private oasis. We were a couple so just used one side of the property but the other rooms and bathroom looked as good. Recommend the massage from lady who comes to you.

The villa was just beautiful with a deep pool and beautiful garden. The beds were comfortable and the large living room also had air con. We are a family with 3 almost grown children and it suited us well. Lots of restaurants very close and we ordered delivery pizza from ciao pizza (delicious) to enjoy the villa in the evenings too. We spent 2 days at virgin beach which was beautiful and just a short taxi trip away. Enjoyed sightseeing in East Bali too. Lovely staff - we will be back!

What a FABULOUS place. HUGE villa and grounds, spotless, and the most WONDERFUL staff. As a couple, we had searched for a 1 bedroom villa with a private pool and locked this property in for 10 nights. We missed that it was, in fact, a sprawling 3 bedroom villa. On arrival we played like Goldie Locks and got to choose our bedroom. The king bed was incredibly comfortable; it's a small thing, but loved that the kitchen hosted a 19L water cooler, so no daily lugging bottled water from a shop. And, almost unheard of ... there's a washing machine. It is located at the northern end of the Candidasa tourist strip, but down a side street, and is surrounded by nothing much other than dense coconut palms, banana trees, a multitude of hens, chicks, roosters and some cows! Delightful surrounds if you're looking for something more natural. The property is also only 100 to 600 meters from great warungs, with more tourist centric cafes/restaurants within 1km. The warm, friendly, and obliging Ni Made and I Putu looked after our breakfast and incredibly thorough cleaning of the whole villa complex daily, and I Nyoman oversaw the gardens and a couple of small items we needed sorted. And don't look further afield than the property's recommended driver, Conk - an excellent driver and guide, knowledgeable and fun. Hopefully, the owner of this property appreciates the great asset he has in Villa Serenity's staff. After many trips to Bali, this was our first stay in Candidasa. We believe having the luck to stay at Villa Serenity has left us wishing to return. Thank you, score 100/100!

There is nothing not to like. The sound of the roosters and dogs make it more enjoyable.

Absolutely fantastic villa in the perfect location surrounded by local houses. As soon as you enter the front door you are relaxed and at ease..The villa is complemented by staff Made and Putu who will go above and beyond to make your stay even more enjoyable. Everyone in the area are very friendly and we felt safe day and night. Restaurants and Warungs are minutes away with many choices. At the moment the area is very quiet and worth the 2 hour journey from the airport. We went to relax and were not disappointed.

Perfect locale for city slickers who want to experience parts of Bali that are relatively untouched by commercialization. John has found the ideal location and built a neat property that is hidden away, yet is a few minutes walk from restaurants and grocery stores. A special call out to the people who make the Villa into a home - Chong (guide & driver), Made & Putu (Housekeepers) and Nyoman (Estate Manager). They ensure the stay is perfect with authentic Balinese hospitality and are genuinely good people looking out for you.

The greatest accommodation we've ever been in Candidasa! Everything was new and clean. You find everything you need to live independent. The staff is incredible, the breakfast very good and the atmosphere perfect for making holiday with the family. We loved the location and will come back for sure. Many thanks to John and his staff
