Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesThe only negative I could think of was the limited food options since the dining menu at the Villa is very limited and the closest options are still a good 20 minute drive away. It's just a minor inconvenience but may be worth addressing by letting the guests know in advance so that meal times can be planned accordingly.
The property itself is idyllic and lovely. Perfect for a city getaway. The rice fields around were so calming and the property itself has a rustic feel. Cleanliness was top notch. Special mention to the hosts who were very kind and accommodating for any requests and are prompt in responding both online and at the property. Highly recommend Villa Neyang for an Ubud getaway.

United StatesTraditional houses are so beautiful and every detail was nice to look it: the rice terraces, the garden with flowers, fragrant soups, everything out of wood. The bathroom was outside, it had flowers growing all over, so beautiful. The whole place was designed to let you enjoy the natural and yet with high end feel. It was a perfect place for us to stay and best accommodation we had in Bali. Can’t wait to come back!! Thank you Khan and the family for taking such a good care of us and delicious breakfast 🙏🏻

A unique experience staying in a very clean and comfortable villa surrounded by rice fields. Loved the comfy bed and outdoor bathroom! The hosts are lovely, full of helpful tips on places to visit and can shuttle into Ubud and back. We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts on our balcony, candlelit dinner is available on request (can recommend the pork ribs!).

BulgariaThe room and bathroom were a bit dark due to the weaker lighting.
The villa's location is among the rice fields, away from the main road, making it a very quiet and cozy place to stay. The hosts were extremely hospitable and made us feel at home. The bathroom was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the villa was built in a classic Balinese style.

My best stay in Bali - stayed for 3 night and wish I stayed for longer. Truly, a 5-star worthy stay. Villa was very clean, with a massive bed and a large private terrace, as well as a spacious semi-outdoor bathroom with a bathtub! The bathtub filled up really fast and hot water was always available. Surprisingly, there were no mosquitoes, and it soothed my soul to hear the sounds of crickets in the evening. It is very quiet in the evenings, perfect for a relaxing time and easy to fall asleep early. AC works very well and is barely audible on the lowest setting. The included breakfast was delicious, I especially liked the homemade jams! There are many options to choose from the breakfast (among them American style, Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng are available). It is prepared and brought at a set time to the villa. Delicious coffee with fresh milk! There's also a minibar available with snacks and drinks, as well as two free bottles of water daily. Would also recommend going for a walk in the morning and evening around the nearby village (5-10 minute walk away) for incredible views of sunset over the rice fields, as well as some cows, ducks and views of harvested rice drying in the sun. Khan, the host, went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and was available 24/7. I forgot to order cutlery with my Grab order and Khan brought it within minutes, even though it was already late in the evening. He also helped organise rafting at Ayung river - it was my first time rafting, a truly memorable experience for an unbeatable price! This is a perfect place if you want to take a break from the city amongst peace and quiet of nature!

My recent stay at Villa Neyang was nothing short of enchanting. Tucked away amidst the vibrant rice fields of Ubud, Bali, this hidden sanctuary offers a truly unique and immersive experience. Villa Neyang boasts a sense of seclusion and tranquility. Surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of nature, it provides the perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection. It offers a tranquil oasis where you can unwind and reconnect with nature. Yet, it's still conveniently close to Ubud's attractions, making it easy to explore the local culture and cuisine. The villa itself is charming and beautifully designed, blending traditional Balinese architecture with modern comforts. The host Khan and his son are incredibly warm and welcoming, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect. Overall, my time at Villa Neyang was unforgettable. Whether you're seeking a romantic retreat or simply a peaceful escape from the stresses of daily life, this hidden gem offers an unparalleled opportunity to reconnect with nature and nourish the soul.

GermanyNothing, everything was perfect, it’s just the driving to town (Ubud) you have to get used to
Everything was very clean and the staff was super nice and friendly, I would’ve stayed longer if I could - aircondition worked perfectly fine - I usually have back problems while sleeping in hotels, but this bed was super comfortable, I slept like log …. Absolutely recommend! Thank you Khan for tips on where to go for a good massage! Communication was fantastic! Easy to rent a scooter at the accommodation!

PhilippinesThe breakfast set was delicious but I wish it was larger portions.
My stay in Villa Neyang was absolutely fantastic. The villa was very clean, with great Balinese design and a wonderful view of the rice field. The villas were not beside the main road so it was so peaceful and relaxing, especially as I was working remotely. At night, I could hear crickets, gecko and other insects and I could also see some fireflies. It is a 10-minute ride to Ubud center. They provide free transportation back and forth anytime at your request (once everyday) to Ubud Center while it is also easy to book Grab taxi or bike at minimal cost. I also requested for private tours to adjust with my schedule and they were able to cater to my request. Khan, Okta and their entire family were hospitable and I could feel the genuine concern for me as a guest. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to stay in Villa Neyang!

GermanyA hidden gem amidst the rice fields in Ubud, Bali I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful accommodation in Ubud, Bali, nestled amidst the serene rice fields. While it may be slightly secluded and located a bit outside of the city center, the tranquil surroundings more than made up for it. The hosts of this accommodation were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. They were always available to assist with any inquiries or requests, making my experience truly delightful. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious food prepared by the owners themselves. Every meal was a culinary delight, showcasing the authentic flavors of Bali. The veranda, overlooking the lush green rice fields, provided the perfect setting to savor these delectable dishes. The accommodation itself was a haven of relaxation. The open-air bathroom, complete with a shower and bathtub, allowed me to indulge in a soothing bathing experience while being surrounded by nature. The overall aesthetic of the place was charming and cozy, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking tranquility. In terms of value for money, this accommodation exceeded my expectations. The combination of the beautiful location, attentive hosts, mouthwatering food, and cozy amenities made it a truly worthwhile experience. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in Bali, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, I highly recommend this hidden gem amidst the rice fields in Ubud.

FranceOne thing other places are offering are refills of filtered water rather than plastic bottles. I think that would be a good idea here too. I am not a fan of air-conditioning and you absolutely do not need it here at least not in the winter season in Bali. I do wish hotels would stop assuming everybody wants air conditioning and offer fans too For those of us who care about the climate crisis a fan and mosquito net is all you need! I came to Bali to enjoy the warmth. Word of advice, people. Try turning off your air conditioning, you may be surprised how nice it is to feel nature on your skin!
I adored this property and felt so at home in my gorgeous villa. The bathroom is out of this world and something you might find in the the classiest five star hotels. My view onto my little rice field in front of me was just stunning. I so loved staying here and would stay again in a heartbeat. Near Ubud but away from the hustle and bustle and I didn't even want to go into town! Do not hesitate to book this place you'll be delighted with your choice! I also had a fantastic massage with the local lady which Ayu arranged. What a fabulous family that runs this adorable hotel. I can't say nice enough things about this place.
