Everyone was really welcoming, friendly and helpful. It’s a beautiful place, with an amazing view. Very delicious breakfast and dinner. Marcel booked us the ferry to Gili Air, which was really nice. Would come back for sure!

The ac spit out water after being on for a long time, which isn't ideal. We had to pay for airport pick up even though the initial message via booking.com said that this service was offered free of charge

It may have easily been one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The design of the villa/bungalow surroundings is unique: lots of plants and flowers, turtles, ponds, a cute pool, a view (!), overal just a very special experience. I decided my second day just to stay there and read and swim. It was super relaxing and felt like I rented this villa just for myself (there was nobody else there during the day). The hosts and staff are wonderful and caring, and the breakfast is nutritious and delicious. My cabin was great, I did have a large gekko living in there, but I love the feeling of being closer to nature. I think that’s how it should be.

Google maps had trouble locating the property, we were fortunate to meet a lady descending some stairs who informed us our accommodation is up almost 200 steps. Upon arrival Marcel told us of a back entrance which we tried to find but Google maps couldn't find, would take us into a jungle then say do a U turn!! We only stayed one night.

The hosts are lovely..the property is lovely..the room was nice , old traditional style,bamboo mat wall type..the bathroom very rustic.. had a kettle and a fridge, bed was reasonably comfy. Amazing view from the room and property. Lovely breakfast and delicious homemade jam.

The 200 steps up to the hills from the town. But it’s great for fitness! Just horrible on a hot day/ humid night. If you’re not very fit this might be a struggle so a bike to go around or a taxi is advised! Marcel always offered to collect us if necessary though!

Marcel and his wife made the stay wonderful. We were only there for a night but it was exceptionally clean. They have absolute faith in their guests by asking you to write in a book what you take from the fridge. Marcel made an effort to get us to the villa as the taxi driver tried to leave us in the middle of no where. He also took us to the ferry the next day and organised a massage for me. Breakfast was nice and the villa was beautiful. The view was exceptional! Pool was very small but very clean! There was a little turtle garden too! So cute and the two dogs there were lovely :) Thank you both for a lovey stay!

Cannot recommend enough, very beautiful garden and view overlooking Pandangbai. The main benefit however was our hosts, incredibly kind and helpful. Took their time to guide us and our taxi driver in the right direction to the accommodation. Food served was always delicious and overall was a very comfortable stay.

Felt a little lonely/ghost-ish because no one was there when we arrived. Our driver showed us around, handed us the keys and then we were on our own😅

High up the mountain nice view, land and sea turtles in backyard! Really close to the Harbour town, so perfect if you want to leave to Bali early in the morning.

Long stairs to reach property. But still no issue if you ask owner, they provide car pickup service from harbour or main street.

The owners and staffs at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable.Property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm.Just a charming place.

Wow what a find! We stayed here for one night before we hopped on a fast boat to Gili T...after arriving we wished we could stay longer. This is a wee piece of paradise...traditional Balinese style...hosts are super friendly and we would highly recommend booking dinner. Authentic and SUCH good value...we can't recommend enough!

Absolutely nothing 😍

From the moment we arrived at Villa Manouria - Marcel, we were welcomed like family and made to feel at home. Marcel and Maddy are wonderful hosts, friendly, warm and engaging. Maddy cooked the most beautiful meals as well. The property is a sensory delight, established gardens, ponds, paths, and a lovely swimming pool to cool off in. As Villa Manouria Marcel is perched upon a hill, the view looking down over Padangbai is spectacular. A stunning place to stay.

Lovely friendly staff, beautiful view, landscaped beautifully and complete with pool and ponds (turtles old and young). Fantastic value for money including a tasty breakfast.

The owner and the staff go above and beyond. Felt like I was welcomed there as family. What a great atmosphere and vibe. So friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and the view most of all was amazing. Best view from any room I’ve stayed in in Bali.

Everything was above our expectations, location is perfect, you quickly reach the center, the view is amazing, the breakfast was delicious but I have to say that the cherry on the cake was the owners Madi and Marcel who dit their possible to make our stay the best + nice/ interesting conversation :)) Hopefully, we will see you again ! A beautiful place! You can watch the sunrise from your bed. Kept very natural, you can enjoy the company of geckos, birds, turtles and two doggos as well. Marcel and his family is extremely hospitable. We just loved it!

Be aware there is a very steep stepped walk to get from the property to restaurants etc. The alternative vehicular route is from the opposite direction and is down a long bumpy path.

Consider the location; either 5 min steep stairs (not recommended with heavy luggage). Access by car or scooter is rather adventourus / to difficult And long detour to city. Nothing bad, but you should be aware of when staying there.

Hosts are really nice and the view from up there over city and harbour is nice. Cute villas and breakfast is simple but honest and nice. We loved the night we stayed there.
