Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SloveniaEverything would be nice if the owner wrote on the booking that it is in the middle of rice fields, that the accommodation is not accessible by car. I had big problems because I was with a suitcase. No one wanted to take me. I stopped at the back stalls of Kajang street. The good people there called me for accommodation. It's lucky that the owner has such a good maid who came to look for me, then came back to get my suitcase. So everyone who travels with a suitcase, be careful. The owner should have a motorcycle to carry luggage. I am grateful to Čok for the help, otherwise I would have to cancel the accommodation. But it is a unique area and it is worth the money. I have to write something else to the owner. I was literally horrified because he took advantage of my credit card and took an additional €310. I paid for the accommodation earlier on booking. Otherwise, it was returned to my account. So they have all the information about us🤔 But no one should play with money like that. He could have called me and apologized for the mistake. Be careful!!!! I mean the entire booking
The room was nice, you ordered cleaning as needed. Good, comfortable bed, hot water in the bathroom. The garden outside is beautiful, just not lit enough at night. Staff very friendly.

GermanyOne should know before arriving that car taxis cant drive to the entrance and you have to walk (or take motor bike)
The pool is great, and I love how it is located between rice fields and still very close to the center. Perfect to relax after the touristic chaos of the main streets

United Arab EmiratesLocation can be hard to find, and its a steep walk uphill. So to be mindful if there's a lot of luggage.
10 mins away from the main attractions of Ubud city. Located with views of the rice fields, its quiet and peaceful. Friendly staff, free Wi-Fi, simple homemade breakfast.

IsraelAmazing location away from the noises of Ubud. Every day I went out for a nature walk by the rice fields. This made my stay for sure! Worth it so much :) Just know that cars/taxi can’t reach the place. I would suggest asking for help from the stuff. Or take a taxi bike that can transfer suitcase if you have one.

United KingdomThere were a few small things that could have made the room more comfortable (bath mat in the bathroom, toothpaste, shower curtain). I also got eaten alive by mosquitoes, which is obviously no-ones fault, but some mosquito repellent coils could be helpful too. However, we still really enjoyed our stay!
We really enjoyed our stay! Location is great, you’re tucked away in the rice fields while also within walking distance of Ubud market. The staff are amazing, so helpful and friendly, did so much to make our trip even better. Breakfast was delicious too. Would highly recommend!

IrelandA lot of greenery, so this could be a plus but this meant a lot of ants and other insects. Which came into the room. This cannot be helped by the staff but maybe not for someone who is attractive to insects to bite.
Staff were very nice and made breakfast when asked. Offered tours and cars for hire. The atmosphere is amazing and right outside is rice terraces which are so scenic compared to the hustle and bustle of the city

AustraliaFirst day we had an issue with the water but the next day the hotel called a plumber to fix it. Also the water wasn't going down the drain in the bathtub but we made it work.
Very nice personnel, they organised pick up from Sanur for us, the hotel location is great with the rice fields with multiple nice restaurant behind the hotel, 10 min of walk from Ubud center. I would recommend staying there. Pancakes for breakfast were great.

United KingdomThere is one large hill before the property and cars can not enter. Therefore if you have lots of luggage it is not ideal. The staff helped when bringing the luggage up, but would not help to bring it back down when we checked out.
Nice selection at breakfast. Water refills. Comfy beds. Rice field location is very beautiful. Staff are attentive, really nice and quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of ubud centre.

Large spacious room and bathroom with a big bed and lots of room for storage. Powerful shower and great facilities outdoors as the pool is big with sun beds to use. Breakfast platter each morning including pancakes, tea, coffee, juice and fruit. The location is just within the rice fields so beautiful to walk through and see at sunset. Close to the Main Street with bars and market stalls. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

SwedenThe large room we had smelled mouldy and had a very old bathroom. I would not recommend it. Cleaning was not very good. Location is both positive and negative. It's a bit of a hill to go up for when you have children and cars can't drive there. But also no cars and beautiful rice fields view is a great place to be. Takes about 10min to walk in market street until more shops and restaurants. We where traveling with our child and they gave us breakfast for 3 but later at checkout said we had to pay for extra one. We overheard one guest claimed someone stole money from his room. Can't say what happened here but they where asking to see camera footage.
Double bed is very large and comfortable. WiFi was good (XL sim card not). We stayed 2 weeks in the groundfloor room that has connected living room. This was great space for working and having the included breakfast. Living room is not completely private as the upstairs rooms will use the stairs but almost as other guests where away. We also stayed in a smaller double room that looked better. Pool area and garden looks nice. The walk around the Hotel is so beautiful and next to the hotel is the best restaurant with beautiful garden views and good prices. Just after it is also a nice small brick lunch place with rice field views and great prices but slower service.

Ireland**Avoid this place at all costs** I didn’t enjoy the fact that clothing was robbed from our room. We asked staff not to clean our room as we were only there for a short period of time, upon confronting staff that things were taken from our room they were not bothered by the situation in the slightest. Staff kept saying no one was in our room which was obviously not the case as had out doors locked throughout our stay. We decided to check out a day early after discovering the issue and staff once again were not bothered the only thing they bothered to ask was did we find them. As a couple we started our backpacking trip in Bali and this put a burden on the start of our trip, to know someone was in our room and took personal belongings put a downer to the start of our trip. In the end we lost out on a nights accommodation and lost clothes in the process.
Comfortable room that had a nice view over a rice field.

DenmarkThere were some ants in the common areas/bathrooms, but they generally stayed out of the bedroom. My room was only cleaned once during my week-long stay and linens were not changed, but to be fair I didn’t ask.
Really great location by beautiful rice fields, it felt quite secluded and quiet but was still walking distance from the centre of Ubud and a lot of great cafés on the walking street. Also super nice staff, very helpful in coordinating my travel.
