Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe room was very clean and spacious. With AC and mosquito repellant you could plug. The bathroom is beautiful with natural light. The lady in charge of cooking is lovely and a great cook! I would go back in a heartbeat. They also rent scooters at a great price

Absolutely amazing, just what we wanted on a Bali holiday. Great value for money. Away from the main central areas but very easy to get to by Grab. The host was so welcoming and took care of us. Highly recommended.

Very nice host, great room, and incredible cliffside view of the beach and ocean! Easy walk to nearby restaurants, and not far to Uluwatu Temple. The outdoor shower was also really nice.

GermanyA very calm place in Uluwatu. The Ulus Klumpu is located a bit far from the city center, so we got a very calm vibes with the best view ever. You can see Nyang-Nyang Beach from above from the hotel area. The view is very breathtaking. There is also a small path to go down to the beach. You can ask the hotel staffs how to get down to the beach. They are very happy to help if we needed something! The room was very clean, even cleaner than some expensive hotels in Bali. They also have Warung (a small restaurant) where you can get your breakfast there (like nasi goreng, mie goreng, pancake, fruits, coffee, mineral waters, etc.). It's very delicious. The road to the hotel area is not so good and there were not a lot of street lamps in the night, but online taxis like Gojek or Grab are available 24h in this area. They will come to you in 5 Minutes :) There were cows and chickens in the hotel area. It's such an experience to stay in this hotel. But don't get scared, the animals won't get too close to your cottage. I will definitely come here again if I visit in Uluwatu

SingaporeDifficult to access, car needed to drive through a long bumpy side road to get here. 10mins walk to the main road, but there isn't a convenience store nearby, only some restaurants. Annapurna indian restaurant is there which has good food though.
Amazing romantic place! Really loved the cute hut with the princess post bed in the middle, super romantic and aesthetic. Was initially a bit worried about the outdoor toilet and shower at first but it was the best part! It was clean, there were no insects and it was spacious. Could see the stars at night when bathing/ using the toilet... what an experience! Bed was really comfortable too. Overall really lovely experience!

United KingdomNothing, you do really need transport to make the most of Ulawatu.
It is a stunning location, back with nature and quiet. The rooms are amazing and we loved the outdoor bathroom. It was far better than we had had in other locations of Bali. The views are out of this world and the beach is stunning.

The cabins are beautiful, with air condition, the toilet open was a great experience! There are cows around very peacefully. They do the paragliding in the hotel but It depends on the wind, we were Lucky we had perfect weather. The location IS good, you need to move by motorbike in uluwatu area. The nyang nyang beach IS just down the hotel, nice to go early morning for some walk/meditation. They also have warung and serves food all day.

United KingdomPersonally we didn’t love the outside bathroom, using it once dark wasn’t ideal and we had insects and frogs in ours. But it was very well looked after and clean. We also had a gecko in our hut but he stayed on the roof and seemed to eat the mosquitoes so was ok!
We really liked our stay in our hut, it was spacious and clean, really nice having a mosquito net over the bed. Location was good to get to everything in Uluwatu and the wifi worked really well!
