Everything great!

It was so incredibly great! The staff is so warm and friendly, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious every morning! Every question we had was answered in a very supportive manner and help was offered straight away. On our next visit to Karimunjawa we will definitely go to the Loyal Friend Hostel again.

When we came they send us to another hotel cause they were double booked. I have no idea how that happened. We need to stay for one night at other hostel.

I was supposed to stay only one night, but I ended up spending an entire week at this hotel. Tata makes delicious breakfasts in the morning. The hotel matches the photos and is perfect for relaxing peacefully. They are also very accommodating. The boat was full for my return, but luckily they found me a ticket and took me to the port. I can only recommend this place 😄

Maybe a sink in the room would have been useful

Amazing location with beautiful view from the terrace overlooking the water The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, from snorkelling tours, scooter hire, Jawe even helped us sort out our ferry tickets back when the boat was already fully booked! The calm and tranquil nature of the hotel - always a pleasure to sit out on the hammocks in the morning and look out onto the turquoise water The varied and delicious breakfasts!

Bed is cracking, and wall need to repaint. No flush button in the toilet, bit confusing for my bule son (not for me)

Very close to harbour, restaurants, alun-alun, pharmacy, mini markets, ATM, and also not too far to go to the famous sunset beach, bobby beach. Perfect location. Very quiet at night too. I was in doubt when we had to go inside the small alley, but once you are inside, it was a very warming place. Bang Jawe and his girlfriend also very attentive to all of our questions and helped us to arrange motor and snorkelling trip, and prepared special breakfast too! RECOMMENDED and definitely will come back Balcony directly placed in front of the water, smaller than it look from the picture, but very comfortable to hang out and waiting for the sunset (you can see sunset there too!) Also, very safe. we left our bag in the lobby floor, and nobody touch it. One more thing, don't forget to pet MARLIN, the snow white cat

We've spent few days at the place. The highlight is the host Jawe. Always smiling. Laid back. If you need anything - organizing snorkling, washing clothes, renting a scooter, finding great food spots, beaches... he's the right guy to ask. He even can find a place to fix your broken sandal :D Jawe is also proactive - he pinged me and helped me navigate the tricky schedule of boats when I was struggling to figure out if there is a boat on Thursday. He reached out, found out the details. When I wasn't able to book via app he has sent my way to use due to some app limitations, he found the guy in Japara to take care of it. On top of all he's a nice guy and a Master Chef cook! :P

Nothing! Maybe that there's not really hot water (also not really cold) but you would be happy having a refreshing shower after a day of chilling on one of the beautiful beaches ;)

We LOVED our stay at the Loyal Friend Hostel. The hostel is cosy, there's plenty of space to chill and having breakfast in the morning on the terrace is just perfect. The room is clean, the bed is good and there's fresh mountain water coming out of the shower. Jahe, the hostel manager, is amazing and will help you with anything like renting scooters, booking snorkel tours or transport. We stayed 1 week in the hostel, but we could easily spend months here! Location is perfect: close to the harbour and main road with loads of places to have local or western food or coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Loyal Friend Hostel!!

The property is in a great location nearby the town and the port, also great that is is right by the ocean. The staff are great and will assist you with tours, scooter, recommendations, etc. Highly recommend staying here if you plan on visiting Karimunjawa!

- smoking is allowed so it’s sometimes disturbing during the breakfast, for example - breakfast is quite small, but very good - no bidet shower at the toilet

- Great staff. Jave was always very helpful, friendly and respectful. - he picked me up from the ferry harbor with his motorbike - the breakfast was very good but a small portion - The air conditioner worked great - the location is perfect because close to the center - the water view terrace is beautiful and great to relax - water is provided - very clean

It was sound really, just remember you're on a remote island, it's beautiful and it's very cheap too, including breakfast! It was quiet when I was there too, which I would think was a positive, but I think it's much busier in summer season (I went for a week in November).

The location was great, right on the waterfront, and I felt really welcomed as soon as I arrived off the ferry, where I was picked up and brought to the property. It was easy to sort out a scooter, trips and there's an honesty bar for beers, water and soft drinks. Also free tea and coffee. Breakfast was basic but really tasty and healthy! Fruit, eggs, juice. It was all really nice, and it's on a quieter street, just off the main road.

Couldn’t recommend this homestay enough, the people are so friendly and help with everything, from renting and showing you how to ride a scooter to booking you the ferry back. The view is amazing and breakfast was great👍

This is really a hidden Gem in the centre of Karimunjawa with amazing chill areas! We went for a swim every morning after breakfast since you can just walk into the ocean from up the balcony. The room had a great vibe and was very comfortable, the shower was cold at times, but with the warm weather it was actually quite nice. The host Jawe made sure we felt very welcome by picking us up at the harbor and was very nice to hang with. He arranged a scooter and snorkeling trip for us and was available during our whole trip, so we had a carefree stay! We would love to revisit!
