Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaStaying at this hotel was the best decision! We felt like welcome and dear guests. The wonderful and friendly manager made us breakfast every day and prepared snacks. If we went on an excursion early in the morning, she would pack us breakfast to go. The hotel has only 3-4 rooms, quiet and cozy. It's a 20-minute walk to the center of Ubud, and 5 minutes by bike. The room is clean, there is no mold, there is no smell from the sewer. Perfect ^_^

United KingdomWhat's not to like about this charming, beautifully built heritage house? We just loved it! Ulist who manages the small property (only 3 bedrooms) was friendly and so helpful. She told us all about the fascinating facts about the building and its history. The room we had was large and very comfortable and you walked straight out to a pool that was perfect for a dip on a hot afternoon. Although it was 10 minutes out of the centre of Ubud, getting a Grab car never took long - and it was worth the journey to be in a quieter location at night. Breakfast was always such a pleasure - cooked by Ulist and served upstairs in the beautiful lounge/dining area overlooking a rice paddy field. Definitely a favourite for us in Bali.

Everything was great. A very nice, communicative and helpful manager. This is not a hotel, only 3 rooms for rent. That's why there are only a few people. Beautiful rooms and a beautiful common area where many more people could flow, but it is only for 6.

AustraliaNothing to dislike.
Ulist, the manager, and her wonderful support staff made our stay unforgettable. The breakfast each morning was superb and the beautiful heritage house was a delightful setting for a relaxing break. Nothing was too much trouble and Ulist went out of her way to make sure we lacked for nothing. Congratulations to the owners for doing such a wonderful job of restoring this grand old home and ensuring it has all the necessary creature comforts. Thank you for sharing it with your guests.

Beautiful house with a great communal area overlooking lush vegetation, comfortable rooms and lovely garden. Situated nicely out of the hectic centre of Ubud, close to a local juice bar and restaurants. Ulist who manages the property is brilliant and really looked after us. Delicious home cooked breakfast. We had a great stay!

Don’t hesitate, just book if you want to spend some beautiful time in Ubud. Great villa with only three rooms, small pool, fantastic service, beautiful surroundings and great aesthetics. Feels intimate, special, and like a true hidden gem. The architecture and design details are just stunning.

AustraliaThis property is the immaculate culmination, vision and blend of traditional Balinese and western architectural beauty. It houses gorgeous furnishing, open plan layouts, beautiful designed and carved features in gorgeous Balinese style. It boasts a number of rooms that are exceptionally well fitted with comfortable beds, bedding, amenities and are so well presented that it is almost a crime to sleep upon / use them. The staff were friendly, inviting, charming, helpful and exceptionally skilled; especially the property manager, Ulist. She was an extraordinary caretaker and host. We will return time and again.

GermanyEverything was perfect!
This amazing accommodation has only 3 rooms, one private villa and two double rooms. The garden is way more impressive than the pictures can capture. The pool is nice and clean too. By scooter it’s maximum 5 minutes to Ubud center. Next to the accommodation are plenty of warungs and western restaurants and our favorite laundry (Laura’s Laundry) as well as smaller supermarkets. Staff is very friendly and attentive and make you feel like you are part of the family. Breakfast can be chosen between western, Indonesian and pancakes, which is delicious! We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend staying in this very clean and well furnished house. Thank you very much!

GermanyAyu Dira Heritage House was the most beautiful accommodation on our Indonesia trip! It is located a bit north from Ubud city, but you can reach the center within 5-10mins by taxi or scooter, and there are also several restaurants and shops (among others a well equipped liquor store) in walking distance. Ulist, the manager, is such a lovely and heartwarming person. She had so many useful information, restaurant and tour recommendations, and helped us with every question we had. We stayed in the wooden bungalow which is equipped with a large comfortable double bed, enough storage space, and a fantastic outdoor bathroom. The room is very nice, with a lot of lovely details, and it is constructed in a way that no animals like geckos can come inside. Right in front of the bungalow there is the pool area which is so beautiful and perfect to relax. Breakfast is served in a large common room on the first floor (again with so many loving details!) and is freshly prepared by Ulist and her staff. We had Fried rice and Fried noodles every morning, as it was soo tasty that we never tried anything else. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone who’s looking for an especially beautiful place to stay near Ubud.

IndiaThis was one of the best properties we stay in a Bali. It’s just 7 mins away from main Ubud area. The pictures does no justice to actually how pretty the place is. Ulist was an excellent host, we were vegetarian so she went out of the way learned a new dish and made for us. The breakfast was delicious and I recommend this property one hundred percent.

BelgiumI mean, what’s not to like? Our stay here was amazing! That good we booked 3 extra nights. This gave us the opportunity to test both the little house and the normal room. Both are more than great and super comfortable! The house is cute and totally fits the Bali vibe! The rooms are nice and spacious as well, maybe even a little more luxurious. Everything you can think about is provided (slippers, towels, mosquito repellant, flashlight, laundry bag, soap, hair dryer, mineral water, …) or can be arranged by the oh so kind and thoughtful host Ulist! She, together with her staff, takes care of everything. We arrived late and she provided some pizza for us, she booked a massage at the villa, provided us with delicious breakfast of our choice every morning, … The villa has a shared area where you can relax, drink something, play some card games, … Also, the fully-equipped kitchen is available for you all the time. The outside area is very relaxing as well, since there are only 3 rooms (so max 6 people) it will often be just you enjoying the pool (surrounded by beautiful nature). Overall, I would say it’s better than what’s shown in the pictures!

Ulist and the rest of the staff were amazing and most professional accommodation in which we stayed in Bali! We have stayed in several places across Bali and this is by all means one of the best accommodations we have had! Rooms are meticulously clean, with beautiful furniture in Balinese style and are very spacious. Also, there is only 3 of them, so even if you are not travelling as a larger group, there will be only few people that you may encounter during your stay. Ulist and the team make the tastiest breakfast that you can enjoy in the wonderful joglo - try the mie goreng if you like spicy Indonesian food! I would definitely come again, thank you so so much!

United KingdomRight next to a constantly busy and noisy road so not really a place to 'relax' if you are sensitive to noise, particularly from motorbikes - it's not quite in and amongst the rice paddies I mistankenly believed. 3.5% charge if you pay by card, not mentioned on Booking.com so take cash or pay a little extra.
Beautiful property which i believe, has 3 guest rooms. The common area is very well presented with tea/coffee facilities, TV, seating, microwave etc. Breakfast was very very good, everyday Staff were exceptional, they can't do enough to help you and make your stay enjoyable - it's a much more personalised stay than if you stay in a hotel. Security box / safe in room Room cleaned daily Water provided Close to a 7-11 type store, local smaller store and a few restaurants Laundry very close, 10,000 rupiah per kg of clothes which are washed, dried and ironed Good location for motorbike if you want to travel around this part of Bali but not be in the absolute chaos of Ubud. Interesting 30 min walk to the centre of Ubud where you can see more local life.
