I stayed in 7 different hotels in Bali but this one was my absolute favourite. This is a true Balinese house. The rooms were clean and spacious. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. My parents loved it here . The owners are also good and the breakfast was delicious . Will 100% recommend this place and I can’t wait to come back here.

The place is amazing, the guest house is located on a separate territory with a small garden, close to the main road. A very quiet and peaceful place. The owner is a very nice and friendly person, like his whole family. The breakfasts are delicious, you can choice. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I recommend it to everyone!

Tara House is a little dream place - I felt so fortunate to have been able to spend some days in this peaceful place. Next to the very good value for money including breakfast (some options to choose from), drinking water (hot&cold) and the gem of a street the house is based on (quiet, lots of food options and nice for a little evening stroll while also easy walking distance to the center), the most important part is the lovely family that welcomes you into their wonderful home. Whether you end up having a nice conversation or you just give a friendly greeting and retreat into your cozy and clean room with a little front porch, you will very likely get to feel the calmness and serenity of this special place - other guests I met shared this feeling. Tara House is a little haven of peace in a perfect location in the Heart of Ubud and I highly recommend taking the chance to stay in this beautiful and authentic traditional Balinese family home for some time. Tara House is in the city centre, which was very convenient for me as I don't drive a scooter. My host was lovely and smiling. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. There is no air-conditioning but the ceiling fan was sufficient. Everything was very clean. The plants in the garden of the house are magnificent and this creates a serene atmosphere for having breakfast on the terrace.

I was a little hot in my room with just a fan, but it was still really good value for the price I paid.

Nice, quiet homestay not far from the center of Ubud but far enough away that it is very quiet in the evenings. The family are all very sweet and able to help with arranging transportation to and from the property. Breakfast is tasty and they even packed me some fruit to go when I had to depart early.

We were lucky to have found Tara House. The family running the guesthouse are so sweet and helpful, and are always around to answer questions. The location was perfect - far enough from the busy main road so quiet at all times of the day and night. The street on which Tara House is located also has many family warungs serving delicious food and a great spa. The room was spotless and the big ceiling fan was absolutely sufficient to cool us down. The breakfast is of high quality, super delicious and very filling - and it’s served on the terrace in front of the room with a view to a lush garden. A great spot to watch local wildlife! It was not the property I didn’t like, I chose the non-aircon room, so I deserved this, however this October and November 2023 in Bali was surprisingly extremely hot, so the ceiling fan was not enough for me to sleep well at night. The place is also close to the temple, during my stay, I think they had some celebrations, so there was music at night, I didn’t mind that time, it was not very loud.

It was in a quiet street but very close to everything in walking distance. The staff was super nice and friendly, the room was very clean!

Everything was perfect! The room was impeccable and super clean, beds and pillows comfortable and you get daily housekeeping in your room. Hot and cold water and a fan in the room, just as it looks in the pictures ! The guest is so kind and helps us with everything we needed. Breakfast was on point as well, and the location is very convenient as you can walk to almost every tourist spot and you have plenty of restaurants, bar, and bike rental just around the corner. 100% good value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay in Tara House! Tara House is a traditional balinese house located in a quiet street only 10 mins walking distance to Ubud Palace and Ubud center. In the same street you can find many delicious top rated warungs, for traditional indonesian food and laundry service! The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast is delicious with different choices (pancakes, eggs, toast...etc). Last but not least, the host was extremely friendly and nice!

Our host was very nice, always smiling. We stayed 5 nights here, the room was perfect. Like on the add, we had hot shower, WiFi, confortable bed. The breakfast was good and always on time. Tara house is close to the Main Street, and close to Sekar Sari kitchen (2min walk) perfect to eat Indonesian food for good price.
