Probably the best place I have stayed at in Bali. It’s a hidden secret. Amazing!

These are small nitpicks. In the front room there is an ant problem. Ngura is aware of this and has been doing all he can to eradicate these ants. I suggested to him some surface spray. The only other thing I didn’t like was that the sliding doors only close with a key, and I think some kind of latch would be better so you can lock the room without the key all the time. A few more bowls, glasses and such would also be nice. But honestly, that’s really it. This is a new set of villas so I get the feeling they are still setting things up.

Probably the best place I have stayed at in Bali. It’s kind of like a hidden secret. You are treated to incredible rice field views from the villa, and the villas are very new (maybe only a year old), and they are in excellent condition, very modern and good comfort. The family here (Ngura and his mother) are very welcoming and kind. Ngura Turns up daily to clean up around the yard, and he is immediately attentive to any problems. He is also very flexible: I asked if I could stay a few days longer and he moved me to another villa and it was no problem at all. Sitting in the pool here and looking out at the rice workers, and the kids flying their kites feels very special. It’s a real taste of Ubud and I will not be surprised if in a year from now this place is continually booked out. It is not the kind of place you want to bring a bunch of young people to party; not a hostel vibe, more relaxed and chill which is perfect for me. There was no breakfast included but that doesn’t matter because you have the amazing Kalos cafe walking distance.

There was unfortunately a problem with the drains when we were there but it was resolved so not sure if it was an ongoing problem or one off. The road to the town centre is with no footpath and a busy road so needed to get taxis but they are cheap so not a massive deal. Also there is no seating by the pool to relax so had to sit on floor. The owner did say he is going to sort this though

The beds were comfortable and of reasonable size overlooking beautiful paddy fields. The property was relatively new and had shared seating area indoors and use of a kitchen if people wanted.
