The resort is gorgeous, we really loved relaxing by the pool bar and enjoyed our time at the resort. The staff were extremely helpful, they helped organise a day tour + snorkelling at the Komodo islands the day we checked in and organized our breakfast boxes to go the next day since the tour starts really early in the morning.

A dream hotel. The staff is very friendly and caring for every detail. The most important thing is the personalized and quality attention they offer to their guests. The facilities are clean and well maintained, a paradise to stay. Our experience was incredible. They let us in the room ahead of time. I had muscle pain in my neck and they offered us all their help. They chauffeured us to the hospital and offered us a massage upon arrival. The whole team (reception, restaurant, spa team...) took care of us and looked after our well being at all times. Very grateful for the treatment received and the good people who are part of the hotel team. Happy with our stay here and would recommend this wonderful place 100%

Few gluten free options for a 5-star hotel. Few employees knew what gluten was, difficult to eat safely.

If you are afraid of insects or lizards, do note that because the toilet and shower area are open air, you may not enjoy your bathtime as much since you may spot insects crawling around. This was, however not so much of an issue for me but my friend is afriad of lizards.

Property was clean and well maintained. The staff were also warm and friendly. We liked especially the serenity since the resort is located away from the city area. The staff were helpful and hospitable. We could tell that they took pride in their job and were sincere in making our stay comfortable.

Beautiful grounds, location and lovely food. Five star Dive and excursion centre at hotel - more expensive than outfits in town but great service and ease of organisation made it worthwhile.

Beautiful , laidback resort. The rooms were spacious and the beds the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Our stay was the opportunity to visit Komodo island and the other islands and beaches of Flores, but we do wish we had longer to spend in this beautiful resort.

The resort is perfectly clean and the cleaning personnel refills your water bottles in the room each time you’ve emptied them…in my case 3 times per day. Also the restaurante is top! Breakfast buffet is offering a very broad choice and for dinner you can order Indonesian and international food. The quality of the food is really very very good! The personnel in general is exceptional friendly and always willing to help you. Also the Spa treatment I can recommend :).

There was nothing we didn't like.

Location was great, nice quiet area. The room exceeded our expectations, service was above average. The staff from the moment we arrived to when we checked out were absolutely fantastic, they couldn't help us enough. The grounds were beautiful, clean & tidy, the dining facilities & food was great.

Sea is not nice. Looks muddy, is shallow and very hot, but none of it is a property’s fault. Also a lot of mosquitos after the sunset

The restaurant was expensive, especially the diner buffet (1.3M IDR for two). If you want to organize tours, motorbike rental etc, you’d better do it yourself. For instance, we went through the staff to rent a motorbike, which was more expensive than usual, and the bike came with almost no fuel.

Sudamala is the perfect location to rest and enjoy Labuan Bajo and the Komodo islands. The pool, bar and restaurant are amazing, we really enjoyed spending time there. The room was very confortable with a large bed, big bathroom and fully equipped.

Our experience was almost perfect, just a few details that we let you know the hotel as a feedback when we did the check out. We extend our stay and the second room that they gave to us had a big humidity in the room so the smell of the room wasn´t good. On the other hand, i had a meeting online and the wifi wasn´t good in the "business center" so if had to do it on the room, because was impossible in the restaurant. And last, in the afternoon they always running out of towels, so if you just arrived from an activity outside and you want to see the sunset on the pool or at the beach, there are more towels left.

The staff was lovely and the gardens always really well maintained. A lot of nice details in the room, nice beds and really good partner agency for outdoor activities, specially if you like diving, they have a professional crew and nice dive center. Pedro an his team are the best for diving in Komodo.

That we had to stay only for a night there was really disappointing.

We had an amazing stay. They gave us a free upgrade for our room into a villa with private pool. Every little thing about the hotel is satisfying. Had we not had Labuan Bajo sea-trip booked, we'd have just loved to enjoy the view and stay in Sudamala.

We stayed in a private pool one bedroom villa. The villa was spacious with an enormous comfortable king bedroom. Semi enclosed bathroom and good size private pool surrounded by small garden and bale. The resort compound is picturesque and meticulously maintained. The restaurant, main pool and bar overlook a white sand beach which is cleaned daily. Menu at restaurant was varied with good choice of western and local food. Many nights feature a themed buffet but al la carte is always available. Special recommendation for all the lovely staff who were so friendly and helpful!

Is it really necessary to spray the smelly chemicals that are used to kill bugs in trees?

The only resort I found to enjoy various islands and snorkeling while staying in Labuan Bajo for 4 days. I don't like flashy modern things. I prefer places that can express the traditional feeling and naturalness of the country as much as possible. Although it is not that fancy, this place with an area of ​​2 hectares has a natural and comfortable style that blends in with the trees. And there is a small downtown where you can enjoy various meals and drinks, and there is a shuttle bus that runs every hour every day and a free round-trip pick-up service from the airport, which is about 15 minutes away from the hotel. Although there is not an abundance of fresh fruit, the breakfast that changes a little bit every day makes you look closely at the kitchen. You can also experience the occasional evening barbecue party. The schedule becomes more comfortable because you feel that they are trying to satisfy various customers' tastes. The room is smaller than I thought, but there is an open balcony, so you can smoke without disturbing other customers. It is hard to find a resort with a private beach in Labuan Bajo, but this one does, but it is more for a walk on the beach than for going into the ocean. Thank you to the friendly staff who came running to get the bug out of the bathroom. Thank you to all the staff who took great care of us.

Quite possibly the best hotel we have stayed in and we have travelled extensively across the world. Everything was exceptionally clean, staff were responsive, professional and extremely friendly. Food was great and location was perfect. Our only regret was not staying longer!

Our stay in Sudamala resort was fabulous, we really liked our room which was spacious and clean. The breakfast is great with so many options! We had an amazing dinner at the beach (on Saturdays) with fantastic food (and good prices) and really romantic atmosphere as there was live music. Since my husband had an accident and lost his phone on one of the Komodo island trips, the staff was really helpful and friendly. They even went with him to a local police station to report it ... without them it would be definitely much more difficult. I would recommend this place to couples, families and also friend groups.

After amazing days on and around flores we spontaneously looked for a high quality hotel on the beach. In one day we found and booked Sudamala Resort Komodo. And we were not disappointed. We had the most manicured beach we have ever had. The room was like new. A mix of Balinese style and modernity. Everything was super clean, the service was perfect. The staff in the restaurant were lovely, the food was great. Buffet with a huge selection in the morning, delicious menu in the evening.
