Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

VietnamThe owners were very friendly and helpful. They always smiled and asked me how my day was. They helped me ask information about the bus from Ubud to Banyuwagi. I wad also lucky to observe their worshiping ceremony. Their house was designed with some traditional wooden patterns. The rooms on second floor had better quality and view. I recommend you stay in those rooms. This house had a very good location… 5-10 minute walk from the main road, banks for money exchange, restaurants and fire dance performance. Laundry was right outside the house. I will ho back there sometime.

Right in the center of Ubud, this room is very clean and located in a quiet area. If you are driving, car parking is available (parkir umum ubud) 15-20 minutes away on foot. I highly recommend this place.

Netherlands- Location is a bit further from the mainstreets so you’ll have to walk for a bit, but it’s absolutely doable and worth it in my opinion. - The door doesn’t fully close which means free entry for mosquitoes.
- Owners were nice. - Place looks clean. It got cleaned everyday and I got new towels. - Room is good with a nice bathroom and place to sit outside. - Extended my stay here because I was that satisfied with the place.

This was my second time in Bali and in the Pratama house. Gusti and his family - they are very nice, always smiling and helping whatever you need. It is great to have access to a fridge, there was always drinking water available in the tower, free coffee and tea every morning. The garden is beautiful. Bed is super comfortable, bathroom and room are clean, towels and linen soft. Best value for money.

The place is beautiful. Pratama house is on a quiet side street. It is in a traditional Hindu home with fabulous orientate shrines and beautiful gilded doors. There are some lovely warungs close by for Lunch or dinner and you’re just a 5 minute walk from the bustling Ubud centre. Gusti and his family are fantastic always greet you with a lovely smile. This was our second time to stay there and hope to stay again.

Pratama house is exceptional value for money. The beautiful compound is in a great location on a quiet road off the main street still within walking distance of the main sights. Guests stay in a building opposite the home and temple. There are also a number of restaurants conveniently located on the same road. The owners could not be more friendly and helpful and I felt really welcomed particularly as a solo traveller, including when ai arrived early in the morning and was offered coffee and able to leave my luggage at check in until the room was ready later in the day. My room was clean with a fan and verandah where tea and coffee and hot water was provided daily as well as water in the room. Excellent wifi. I stayed 3 nights and would certainly return.

Czech RepublicI had such an amazing time in Pratama house. I went there two times during my traveling and I will definitely come back once again. I felt like home there. It is located in a very quiet area but very close to the city center, aprox 8 minutes by walk. You can find plenty of amazing restaurants around. This place is ideal if you are searching for a local vibe with a very chilled atmosphere. Also I was sleeping like a baby there thanks to very comfy beds. Thank you Gusti and your wife for such wonderful welcome at your home stay and all your help. 🫶🏻

Central and very calm location, far from the bustle because a bit of a walk from main road. The room is clean, bed firm, and oh what a shower (hot and high pressure water!) Also a table in front for drinking tea or coffee. You can ask for a hair dryer if you are in need. The hosts are gentle, helping, and kind people.

Room: spacious, comfortable, clean - everything you need for a great stay. I don't have a bad word to say... the towels were soft, the bed was comfy (with 2 pillows each), the room was really clean, the bathroom was big and clean, the water pressure was strong, water was hot, air con was great, grounds were beautiful, there were 2 lamps for a nice ambiance at night time, there was free tea and coffee every morning to have on the terrace outside the room and best of all... the price. Incredible value for money. Location: perfect location, about 10 minutes walk from the main bit of Ubud meaning it was peaceful at night time and easy to get back. Also a lot of nice restaurants on the same road as Pratama House (and for cheaper than the main part of Ubud). Staff: really friendly and attentive, couldn't have asked for nicer people to have us at their homestay.

NetherlandsOwner could’ve been a bit more polite when he helped us calling a local taxi. In the end it was all good but felt that he didn’t like us asking him questions about when the taxi will arrive. (We waited for 1,5 hours)
