Nestled in the most serene and peaceful part of Ubud, this villa was a dream come true. The convenience of location paired with the outstanding hospitality of Wayan and his family, who were always just a WhatsApp message away, made our stay exceptional. The villa and the private pool were simply amazing. We were treated to a delicious cooked breakfast every morning, and the option to have fresh Babi Guling and other Balinese delicacies in the evening was a delightful surprise. We absolutely loved our experience and are eagerly looking forward to returning. A heartfelt thank you to Wayan and family for making our stay unforgettable!

If I were nitpicking, I would say that the pillows were a bit bulky to my liking, but that's just personal preference.

We had such a wonderful time. The villa is beautiful, especially the garden and private pool which made us feel like we were in our own paradise! The breakfasts each morning were super delicious and we loved the location, being a short stroll to plenty of great places to eat and a 20 min walk into the centre (or a short taxi ride) but away from where it's very busy and noisy. Best of all was the family who own these two villas, they who were so kind and friendly and hospitable, they really went above and beyond for us and made as feel at home! We would definitely come back!

We simply cannot say enough good things about our stay at Pondok Sawah Asri. From the warmest of welcomes, to all the assistance that the family provided during our stay, as well as all they taught us about Balinesian culture, we felt very well taken care of and wish we had been able to stay even longer. The villa itself is lovely and perfectly designed for two people. The pool is beautiful and refreshing, and the garden is green and lush. It really is like staying in a private paradise surrounded by nature. Breakfast is delicious, prepared fresh every morning, and we even indulged in floating breakfast. Wayan (the son) helped us to set up a private tour with his uncle Didi, to the destinations of our choosing, which worked out perfectly for us and was very enjoyable. If you are looking for the perfect, peaceful place to stay in Ubud, with friendly and helpful hosts, this is the place. We can't wait to go back!

Clean, comfortable & close to local bars and restaurants but only a 20min walk into the main area. We stayed 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, Wayan and his family were the perfect hosts from greeting us on arrival to cooking daily breakfast at the villa (like a personal chef!) Nothing was too much trouble & we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Outstanding hospitality and service provided by Asri and her son Raditya (jr Wayan). We loved the stay, wish we could stay a bit longer. The breakfast was amazing. The villa and the private pool were clean. Restaurants were just around the corner. We loved the walk through the ally way. What we loved the most was the service provided by Raditya, he was just a WhatsApp message away, quick to answer all our questions, so humble and willing to go above and beyond to assist. We would definately come back again.

Asri and her two sons are one of the most hospitable, kind, and professional people I’ve met. The property is kept in very good condition and located on a quiet alley in walking distance of restaurants and shops. The center of Ubud is a short ride away.

Our host family were so friendly, accommodating, and welcoming - we enjoyed the privacy, and the location of this cute villa which is a short scooter ride to the main road. The walk to the main road is also very enjoyable with several locally owned shops, restaurants, cafes and spas along the walkway. Wayan makes the most delicious breakfast! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and most definitely recommend :)

- i did not like the bathroom door because it was made of foggy glass which made the room too bright in the morning (we travelled with a baby) but if you don’t mind that’s ok

We weren’t able to watch TV but that was due to a technical issue that I believe was all over Bali and not the owners fault. It was actually nice to have a break from it though! Being very picky here but the main door had a gap in it unless it was locked and it would’ve been nice to have more room on the bathroom basin for toiletries etc., though we made do quite easily. Perhaps a small table next to the basin could fix this? The bathroom can also get quite humid and hot but this wasn’t really an issue as the main room was well air-conditioned.

I liked how tucked away it was yet it was only a 20-30 minute walk into Ubud centre. The Villa isn’t accessible by car but the walk to the road is only about 5-10 minutes and the walk itself is nice, surrounded by lots of beautiful restaurants, cafes and small shops. The owners met us at the carpark and brought us and our luggage to the villa via motorbikes. The breakfast was delicious, Wayan makes the best banana pancakes! There is a restaurant close by that delivers food to the door, very good selection of food including vegetarian - a lot of the nearby restaurants cater to vegetarian which was a nice surprise for me. The garden and pool area is absolutely beautiful. I think it was great value for money considering the size of the property, the wonderful maintenance and service from the owners and the location.

The property is showing it's age a bit, and the TV didn't work for the duration we were there. But overall, this is nitpicking, and we recommend the villa to anyone

The villa is truly private, and the hosts went above and beyond. Never we have experienced such hospitality, and everything we asked for was fulfilled with a smiling face. Location is good, breakfast was varied, the private pool was clean and big enough for swimming and the bed was comfy. Thank you Wayan, you were great, wishing you all the best.

The location is a bit tricky and Google Maps does not correctly direct to the place. Difficult access by car, but nothing problematic. The hosts were very kind in giving us a ride in their motorcycles!

The villa is amazing! From the wide areas to the nice decoration, we were very comfortable enjoying our room and private pool. The bathroom is perfect! Plus, Asri, Wayan and the whole family were very friendly and kind, always available to help us and cook fresh breakfast every morning. We intend to come back!

We had the most pleasing experience in the Asri Villa. The accomodation was super cozy, the pool was perfect to cool down after a tiring day and the overall vibe was magical, filled with the sounds of nature. The family members were also always reachable via Whatsapp if we had some request related to any topics (e.g. breakfast, dinner, laundry, etc...). They also helped us on the last to transfer our bags to a nearby parking lot to our taxi. We would definitely come back again.

We cannot think of a single thing that we didn’t like.

The privacy and the hosts. This is a standalone villa, inside a walled and beautifully landscaped yard with its own private pool. It is in an agricultural area about 1 km outside the center of Ubud that you can only reach by motorbike and by foot Because the pathways are not wide enough for cars. So it is peaceful and tranquil. The hosts met us at a public parking area with three motorbikes to haul us and our luggage A half a kilometer to the villa. We were surprised at first, but quickly came to see it as an advantage. The areas of Ubud that are accessible by cars are very noisy and hectic. The hosts, especially Wayan, are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and happy to accommodate any request. If we were to return to Uber would, this is where we will stay again. There are many restaurants and shops within a short, walking distance. Our favorite was Casa Curandera on a small footpath looking over the river. It has a small kitchen for storing and preparing your own food if you choose.
