Restaurant looks a bit dark & uninviting. Some breakfast options not that great.

Great location & relaxed vibe. We loved the front pool area which was close to our rooms. We liked being able to order food around the pool & have our own drinks & music. Garden beds were being improved during our stay & were looking very nice. Good to see this grand old resort still has potential.

Wish the sunbeds were located on the beach itself in front of Peneeda View.

Peneeda View Beach Hotel had a great beachfront location in Sanur. Easy walking distance to all restaurants, cafes,bars & shops. Great older Balinese style of Villas.

Great location right on the beach, plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful surroundings and garden well kept. It was peaceful and there was always free sun beds. The family room was amazing with huge bathroom.

Excellent location between the beach and the main road through Sanur, central to all restaurants, shopping centre and lots of shops. We like the traditional Balinese buildings and gardens, very beautiful. The staff are friendly and well mannered, very easy to get along with. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The restaurant needs some improvement. Breakfast is fine. But dinner pretty ordinary.

The hotel was right on the beach. The restaurant is on the beach front with a beautiful outlook. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Traditional Balinese decor. Quiet and private bungalow.

The restaurants was not nice. The food was ok, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was not cozy, boring! Not a lot of choice for the food. Sometimes there is a life music but not really attract people to come. It's a pity!

We stayed in Family room. The room is old, some doors could not close good, but the room and the bathroom were clean. We were happy to stay over there. A lot of trees that make the hotel was not so hot. There are three swimming pool, one is big and the others is quite small. Very nice to swim over there. Location is perfect. It's along the beach, they have own beach chairs. It's very close to the restaurants, cafe and shops.

Some minor aspects of the resort look a bit worn, like the pool edges. This was just visual and didn’t affect the quality of our stay though - everything was comfortable and clean.

Staff are helpful and friendly, resort is traditional older style, pool water is super-clean (3 pools), drinking water is supplied in a water dispenser in each room so you don’t have to buy lots of plastic water bottles, bed was very comfortable and linen is changed daily if you want, towels are supplied in your room and at the pool, beautiful gardens, right on the beach with easy access to everything in Sanur. There is a bit of renovation work happening at the front of the resort in the traditional villas, but it is separated from other villas and doesn’t disturb visitors. The resort was good value for money.

We were in the Honeymoon suite, very traditional Balinese in style. It was very roomy, comfortable and clean with excellent air-con. The position of the hotel is excellent, being by the beach. Our accommodation was very close to the restaurant, the beach and a swimming pool. We were greeted by a very cheerful gentleman on reception and all the staff were helpful and polite. The hotel is very peaceful but close to shops and restaurants.

The location is spot on. Between the beach and the main st. The staff were all beautiful, very helpful. The restaurant opens at 7am but they often made me a latte earlier when they were there :)

Sadly it is a little tired. They have put in very ugly pool fences on only 2 of 3 pools. They are pretty low and gates often left open so not functional either. One of the few places playing relaxing Balinese music in the reception area but ruined by a TV blaring an American sports channel that no one was watching. The restaurant has an uninspiring menu and was always empty. I would have preferred the option for a basic breakfast of fruit platter and eggs rather than a la carte pancakes etc so I went out. There were quite a lot of mosquitoes around but no coils provided as in previous years. Also some rubbish burning from the lot next door creating smoke most afternoons. They have put in solar hot water which is great except my room was in a shady corner so I didn't get any.

I've been coming to Peneeda View since 2005 and love it. The location is excellent, staff friendly and it has an authentic Balinese feel. I appreciate the environmentally friendly touches such as no plastic bottles, water refills, a reusable shopping bag, refillable shampoo.

There was trash on the beach and staff didn’t clean it. We noticed other beach hotels has staff clean area outside of beach. My children took it upon themselves to take trash from beach and throw in garbage. The restaurant food was awful and chicken was inedible.

The rooms were spacious and cleaned well. Location was perfect. Small pools were perfect for little kids.

A bit run down. Gardens need maintenance. Handrails at the front pool need fixing. Shared sunbeds filthy.

Room 117 has 2 bedrooms, beds very comfortable. Fridge in twin bedroom. Aircon worked well. Shower good, spacious bathroom.

While the staff was friendly, they weren't proactive. The common areas are too old and no longer attractive. Pools and restaurant are not appropriate anymore. I personally don't care because I choose the hotel for its location, and I only use the room to sleep in. But as a resort to stay in, it's no longer up to par.

We chose this property specifically for the location. Personally, I also like the fact they every villa / bungalow is different, and that they are elaborately decorated. The garden with its older trees is a plus as well. Linen and bathrooms were clean, and everything in the room functioned properly.
