Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenWe were tired after a long trip to the hotel. And we had to pay cash and just wanted to rest before going to an atm. But they wanted us to go and get money before we could get the room.

GermanyCan't complain for the price, it was just not clean and i had cockroaches 3 times in the bathroom. He came to remove them, but they could come through the canalisation again... just put a barrier in it and clean the room wet, also the washtable and toilet! not only sweeping as I saw them every morning in the checked out rooms.
Place is built like a temple and has it's own temple, nice style, basic breakfast, ok. It is really quiet but still central.

AustraliaToilet quite old but good anyway
I stayed the first night in a room with a fan. Was quite hot so I changed the second night to an AC room. The staff was super nice. The location was the best part: central Ubud. Very good if you are looking for no-luxurious but cheap place to stay.

SingaporeAccessing the property can be cumbersome due to a steep slope that needs to be climbed, which may pose difficulties for some guests. The presence of numerous bikers in Ubud adds inherent risks when trying to reach the property. Unfortunately, there is no provision for hot water, which can be inconvenient for guests wanting a warm shower. Moreover, the rooms lack adequate privacy, making it easy to overhear conversations from neighboring rooms. The property also lacks pleasant fragrances, and the walkways are inconvenient, congested, and irregularly arranged, which can hinder guests' comfort and convenience.
The property's location is conveniently situated in a bustling area, offering easy access to various amenities and attractions. Inside, the place boasts lush vegetation, providing a serene and refreshing ambiance. The comfortable temperatures and inviting sofas create a cozy environment for relaxation. Mornings at the property are delightful, with cool and enjoyable weather. Additionally, the property offers breakfast, providing a convenient option for guests to start their day.

NetherlandsThe homestay looked nice, also the older lady is sweet, but I had an unpleasant experience there: As I booked the so called “Suite with terras” that was described as being 35 m2, I was a bit surprised to get a room that just fits a double bed. Clearly not 35 m2 , more like max 18 m2 if you include the bathroom/toilet. When I asked better english speaking person from the place, why my room wasn’t 35 m2, I got a bit of a rude reply: This is your room: take it or leave it. And that the room is 35 m2, if you include the balcony outside… It felt a little bit like they can have another guest for me anytime, which didn’t feel welcoming at all. I tried to say that I was okay with the room for now but perhaps they can check again on Booking.com with what you advertise, but the daughter was in a hurry and there was no apology or offer made except offering the door...
I liked the place, the owner lady is very nice, she also does your laundry.

RussiaI walked a little, there are many sights around, not expensive cafes, shops. The supermarket is far away but easy to get to. The family was very hospitable and responsive, helped in various matters. The breakfast was good, there was a lot of choice. I lived in a room without air conditioning, it did not cause me any inconvenience. Excellent value for money. Took a number to look around after arrival, but then extended it several times.

AustraliaGreat garden and temple, right in the centre yet on a very quiet side street, new buildings but with a bit of the old Ubud charme, great place to relax, meet travellers and explore the town. Laundry and water bubbler on site, breakfast and tourist services available, good effort separating rubbish and energy-saving light-fittings.

CanadaIt was extremely loud at night and was impossible to fall asleep with ear plugs in, throughout the night until 4am there was a loud peeping noise. In the morning the staff were loud and acted like no one was there sleeping, as well as other guests.
The porch...although we were right across the laundromat and kitchen.
