Very good location! You can go to explore Ubud by foot and it would be a very nice walk. I stayed in a super nice villa with a view onto rice fields, the villa has a balcony and own small pool and it was perfect combo. Interior is really cozy, very rustic, super clean - i liked my stay very much!

Quite big, not really walkable but there is a good free “golf” shuttle.

Location is little difficult to reach with car,private pool was not that clean, sadly the rice fields were already empty, tax 21% that’s why we don’t give any tips even thought the staffs were really kind. Staffs speaks english with thick accent, little difficult to understand

Only fault is that our bed was super creaky and sometimes woke our baby up in the night

We travelled here with our 6 month old baby and had the best time! The staff are amazing and so kind and friendly. The customer service is next level. We honestly didn’t leave much because the food was great and just had the best time.

Not that it was a dislike but for anyone who isn't a walker Menzel is about a 20-25 minute walk to city center and Monkey Forest. This wasn't an issue for us since we love to walk but for anyone who wants something within a closer walking distance it is something to consider.

Everything at Menzel was wonderful from the friendly staff, to the quiet and beautiful location, to the food and beautiful villa. We stayed in the ethnic two story villa with plunge pool overlooking the rice paddy field and it was perfect! Highly recommend Menzel for a quiet ethnic getaway in Ubud.
