It needs a Victor renovation, paint with a little care it could be a paradise.

The beds were way to soft, slept like a banana most of the time and woke up with a bit of a sore back. The bathroom in the rooms weren't terribly ventelated causing it to become extremely hot like a sauna. The aircon is alright, woke up quite hot throughout the night. Got hit by the mosquitos inside quite a bit so dowse yourself in repellent. Suggest a pool to be regrouted, cut myself very easily on the pool floor and wall just walking in the pool to the swim up bar. Small things but awesome stay.

The staff was awesome and friendly especially the restaurant "older" staff, the young guys could learn a thing or 2 from them. The pool was extremely clean to the point that it tasted slightly funny. The food and drinks are really really good and affordable. The view of the ocean from the resort was superb. The room was very clean. Beautiful location for diving, snorkeling and just swimming around. Great diving all round. One of, if not the best standard dive resort in Tulamben. Really enjoyed the stay, if we hadn't payed for our next accommodation we would have extended our stay.

Bathroom had a horrible smell and the shower head could not be directed and would spray clear across the room if you didn't hold it in your hand for the whole shower. There isn't much to do near here except for diving so if you don't plan to dive I wouldn't bother coming to this area.

Staff were great! Restaurant staff would always hold my baby so I could eat and she was happy, the massage was great. Owner was friendly and had good chats on check in and check out. The food was great! Watermelon juice was amazing! One of the best I've had in Bali! Bed was soft and squishy which was nice for a few nights but glad we didn't stay longer or my back would suffer 😅 Right on the water with amazing views!

The room was basic which was totally fine for us but it was very smelly in the bathroom. This may be due to the heavy rain because the bad smell never went away in the 5 days we stayed here. Also, the driver wasn’t the best. He was nice and kind that’s for sure but his driving skills are horrible. The route from Tulamben to Denpasar is very winding and he went so fast that we almost had to throw up the entire drive. It was horrible.

Our stay was in general nice, the staff was very friendly and warmhearted and the open water dive course was amazing. We would come again!

The staff was extremely helpful. I had an ear infection from a previous dive trip, and they arranged a visit (including transport) to a nearby clinic upon check-in to help me get care and medication. When the infection prevented me from being able to partake in planned dive activities, they helped accommodate my change in schedule. The food ans view from the restaurant were fantastic.

We had the nicest room/suite on property which had very limited AC. (In 90 temp). Only the bedroom had AC which had no seating, all the rest of the 2 story villa was open to outside which meant it was beastly hot and full of mosquitoes. The service in the restaurant was very slow with food that was hit or miss

We were there for the diving which is great right out in front of the hotel. The dive staff was attentive and did a great job

The bungalow has lots of nooks and crannies which were not cleaned well. The bathroom door on the inside was dirty and sticky. It didn't feel like a resort room but more like someone's house with lots of knickknacks and even still personal photos on the wall and personal books on the shelves. With a little makeover this could be a very nice boutique resort room. No daily housekeeping. We stayed six nights and our room was not cleaned. The restaurant staff needs to be informed about dietary choices. Despite being - we thought - very clear, we got a wrong order several times simply because the staff didn't understand (either by lack of knowledge or English skills).

We stayed in the bungalow 'Anjas' which was very comfortable, lots of space, lovely and large private balcony. Extra bonus points for the super quiet but effective air conditioner. Location could not be better. No traffic noises. And of course right by the sea. Right in front of the resort are two amazing dive sites called the drop-off and Suci place. The liberty wreck is 2 mins by car. The staff was friendly and upfront communication clear. Diving center has new equipment for rent. We had Kadek as a guide and we totally understand why he is called 'eagle eye'. He spotted wonderful creatures for us. The on site restaurant is excellent, lots of vegetarian and vegan options available too. All with amazing sea views.

Great location for diving, Liberty and other dive sites are just at the door step. Very friendly staff, organized car pick up and drop off from Kuta. Dive guide are great, and after diving the restaurant/bar just next to relax and watching sunrise, sunset.

Ridiculously high price for renting snorkeling equipment. It would be cheaper to go to Amed to rent it there for 1/3 of their price. Restaurant relatively expensive.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! This is a fantastic place to stay if you want to do some scuba diving. You can plan ahead or you can be like us and roll out of bed and decide what you want to do that day. The team at Matahari were wonderful in making sure we dived the best spots in conditions that were safe.

This is such a great spot. Great view of the beach and easy access to snorkelling and diving. A deep pool for dive training. Well priced meals and delicious food. Lovely staff.
