Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Amazing place!!! Really nice location, in the middle of rice fields. Also they have a really lovely garden and pool area. Enjoyed the sunset at the pool. The room was so clean and the stuff was so nice and helpful. One of the best Guesthouse I have been so far. I highly recommend it and would come again! :) Thank you for everything!

PortugalThe windows took a bit of the privacy of the room, so if you value that maybe choose another room.
Our room was really nice and had lots of light, with windows almost on every side. Breakfast was good but very simple (toast with eggs and fruit). The terrace in front of the room was a great place to have breakfast or just chill. We also enjoyed the pool, which had comfortable chairs by it.

HungaryWe had a great time at Mancur guest house! The owner was very helpful even before we arrived, he answered all pur questions :) we were able to do a late check in (2 am) and the owner was waiting for us, helped with all our suitcases. The pool area was also very nice, and we had a great view from our terrace.

GermanyWe booked just one night and they did burn some things in the field next to it, so everything was smokey, also the pool area.
Very beautiful, super silent and cozy in the rice fields

GermanyOnly thing they could do a little better was the breakfast. There were five or six options. Only one for a vegan. Which is normal for Bali standards, I guess. The coffee was delicious.
Absolutely stunning. A oasis within the city. Most quiet location we’ve had in Bali. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice view. Outdoor bathroom with a view. We loved our stay.

United KingdomWe got a good scooter, but with very uncomfortable seats. For short drives to Ubud it wasn’t a big thing, but with longer ones it was problematic.
Really nice location among rice fields, away from the main road and we didn’t hear any noise. You need a scooter to get to Ubud centre, but it wasn’t problem for us at all. There is a really good Warung Layana (we ate 3 times there) nearby that you can walk to. We really enjoyed view from our balcony (ground floor) and amazing pool that you can watch sunset from. Staff is really really nice.

RussiaNeed a transport to get to the center. Add some clothes hanger, wardrobe or shelf to put baggagein the room. There are almost no cafes or shops nearby, but there is a good view cafe two hundred meters away.
Located right in the middle of the rice fields - gorgeous views in all directions: from the balcony - sunrise and from the pool - sunset. This is just your own small infinity pool with a prefect view. The guest house is hidden behind houses along the road and hidden from strangers, which gives peace and quiet. A little far from Ubud and better to have a bike, access not long but narrow path. It's a 5-7 minute drive to Yoga Barn and Ubud Food Market. Cleanly tidy, cleaned daily and towels available upon request. Comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. The girls are very attentive and take great care of the house. We continued our stay and didn’t want to leave at all!

CanadaIf you're arriving by car there is no direct access to the property. The property is located right off a major road that often has heavy traffic - not recommended for inexperienced scooter riders as the parking corral can also be tricky to enter/exit. The wifi is good but not great.
Mancur Guesthouse is in the middle of a stunning rice field with views of two mountains. The grounds are clean and well-kept. Staff are kind and thoughtful with an eye for cleanliness. They offer a laundry service that is fairly priced. If you're riding a scooter this is an excellent location if you want to be outside of Ubud. It's about a 25 minute ride to beautiful Keramas Beach.

EstoniaI liked everything. Not a single negative thing I can mention. Thank you!
I really enjoyed everything. For some people this location might be considered a bit far, but I really enjoyed that it was in the middle of rice fields, quiet, serene. If you can drive a scooter this is heaven on earth. Check out the back route coming from central Ubud to Mancur Guestouse. It's one of the best drives I've ever had. I'm just so incredibly happy staying in this place. It is super clean, the staff is really really really nice, the facilities are nice. Serene and wonderful place, return there next week to stay in Ubud again. Only positive words for Mancur guesthouse, really!

SloveniaNothing, the accommodation, food and welcoming staff have exceded our expectations.
We loved everything about our stay at Mancur guesthouse. The staff is beyond welcoming, we have never before had such a wonderful experience. Breakfast was very delicious, views from the property are out of this world - the lush green scenery and peaceful surroundings are everything we needed and a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Ubud city centre while still being quite close to the city. The room was cleaned every day which we really appreaciated and the staff was unbelievably nice and helpful. We used their airport shuttle service which was such a great option, on time and at a great price point. They even prepared breakfast for the road in the airport shuttle service on our last day, because we had to leave before 5 am for our flight. Additional bonus is that there is a great restaurant within a walking distance of the accommodation - Layana Warung, with great food and very beautiful views. When we come to Bali again, this is definitely where we're going to stay.

United KingdomWe used the kitchen twice during our stay which was great as we were able to save some money for the rest of our travels. The only thing we noticed that could be changed would be to have new dish towels and spongers, as these were very old. It shows how good the stay was, that the only thing we picked up on was dish towels and sponges!
The property was fantastic! The pictures on the website do not do it justice, it was absolute bliss. We stayed in the glass bungalow room, which got very hot but the AC worked very well and cooled the room right down. The breakfast is an added bonus! We both chose the omelette option, which came with toast and a plate of fruit and tea/coffee. The staff were very kind and super helpful, everything was done with a smile. The greenery surrounding the property was a delightful change from staying in Seminyak.

AustraliaAbsolute paradise!! 360 views of rice fields, and jungle, with Agung and Kintamani on the horizon. A very unique property, that you will be hard pressed to beat, for value, beauty and charm. I extended my stay by two nights. If you have one of the lower rooms or detached cottage, ask if you can have breakfast upstairs on the main balcony. This is where you will find the best views and magical morning light! Simple room and bathroom furnishings was perfect, as you're out exploring most of the day anyway. I loved being a short scooter ride from busy downtown (Grab or Gojek pick up just across the road, at the Goa Gajah Exit Gate), about to retreat back to paradise in the evening.

VietnamThe only problem that most potential guests might find is the distance of the location from Ubud centre. It took my wife and I forty minutes walk along the road and on the broken pathway to get to town, however we found a fantastic coffee shop on the way with views over rice fields. It's also pretty unsafe at times to walk along the road a definite no, no for some people. You can get a taxi for 100,000 rp which is better than the grind and stress of renting and riding a motorbike into the town. I'd definitely go back again.
Fantastic location if you want to be away from Ubud centre and all the hassle that goes with it! Great sized room for the price, very good sized bathroom and fantastic A/C. Bed was very comfortable. The pool is small but just right for relaxing in after a day of walking around Ubud in the heat. The sounds from the fields and jungle surrounding the property are great at night time. The breakfast is ok and just about enough to get you going for the day, the coffee is great though. The staff are brilliant even though they have limited English language ability they know plenty to help you out with any problems! Eka and Kadek are two of the most helpful staff you could want to meet.

Hong KongNot that I didn't like, but it could be a bit difficult to get to and from this place if you are not driving your own bike, as it is not on a main road, but accessible via a small path between rice fields.
This place is an absolute hidden gem. Good price, great room, amazing pool, nice views, quiet environment. The staff is very very helpful and accommodating, they have a kitchen, and the internet works. It is just across Goa Gajah, and the Archeological Museum and the Moon of Pejeng are 5 minutes away in the next village. Really recommended if you are on motor. Local restaurant (cheap and good street food) are within a 10 minute walk towards the town.

Hidden gem, few meters away from the main road and touristic highlight (Elephant cave). The property is isolated in the middle of rice fields, absolutely quiet. Nice swimming pool, small garden. Easy to go to Ubud center with Grab or GoJek.
