This hotel offers its guests a wonderful retreat, just like its name. The couple who owned the hotel were very helpful with food, activities on the island, and everything else. The rooms were spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. There was an excellent breakfast. We loved every option we tried! There is a sufficient pool and the poolside is very pleasant. We had a very peaceful and wonderful stay among the magnificent plants. Definitely a place to choose in Lombok in terms of price/performance. I hope to see you again. Thank you for everything!

Fantastic place to stay. Really good value for money. Staff are all lovely and will help you organise trips at a very fair price. Tasty breakfast and the delicious dinner is also great value for money. Short walk to the beach in Senggigi. Pool area is bliss. Rooms are spacious and clean. Showers have very good water pressure. I would highly recommend staying here.

While this is not hotel’s fault, the mosque is quite loud and someone who is looking for peace and quiet should consider.

The room was clean and big. The food and the staff is amazing. They helped us with everything - shuttle to the harbour, renting scooters. The pool gives it a nice touch.

The bathroom is a bit open so we had some visits from sand lizards. The water they provided in a container didn't taste good.

Nice and quiet location. It's like a small resort, with sunbeds and a nice pool. Really good value for money. Location not far from beaches (scooter rental available) and close to restaurants and bars. There's a really good cheap warung just next door! The owner is nice and friendly and the breakfast is good. They can organize daily tours.

It really is a retreat in the Lombok jungle, but very close to the Senggigi center where you have a ton of restaurants, bars, shops etc. The owners are 10/10. They are welcoming, trying to take care of you every minute of the day. They pretty much took care of every transportation and activity that we did. Breakfast is amazing, the workers are always smiling and in a good mood.

More tables at breakfast- breakfast service was sometimes slow or had to eat at a table by the pool or in other area, as they were already full Ants and insects in the rooms- hard to avoid though as it’s an island and quite a rural area (bring bug spray or insect repellent and slippers or have sandals to wear in the room… I sometimes stepped on ants…) be great if they provide mosquito coils or something to help with insects…,or have a net to sleep under please- I sometimes felt tiny ants crawling while I tried to sleep No shampoo provided- (only body and hand soap for toiletries) Hearing my neighbor going to the bathroom when I’m going to the bathroom (they are next to each other outdoors but screened in) Wanting to sit on balcony but it always seemed to be at the same time they were trimming the bushes or sweeping in front of my room- so lack of privacy Pillows were much too think and firm for me Noise from the ceiling fan was a bit too much from that particular deluxe room

Few restaurants within a 10-15 min walk Nice neat clean and spacious room with modern simple design and nice spacious patio area with the deluxe rooms Good base to explore from and could easily get a taxi using Grab app or Bluebird taxi for a change (I was not renting a scooter) King deluxe room had a TV with a few channels so I could catch up on news and watch movies Ceiling fan and air con were both loud enough to cover up the noise from outside the room - like the call to prayer- so I did not hear it during the night Hot shower with great water pressure! They were quick to fix and repair things that were not working properly in the room I could borrow a hair dryer Nice deep pool and beautiful landscaping, plenty of lounge chairs Having the quiet hours from 10pm to 7am Bathrooms in the deluxe rooms had better screened in bathrooms for less bug They were very accommodating and helpful hosts I was able to extend my stay by an extra night in the same deluxe room since they were full the next night. Lucky!

Rooms/bathroom/patios being so close together If people smoke on their patio it drifts into the room Bathrooms are semi-outdoors which is nice but not soundproof at all- so you can hear your neighbor going to the toilet…. Toiletries are only hand soap and body soap (bring your own shampoo-or can buy it nearby) Air con temp during the night not so stable WiFi had to keep trying to reconnect Pillows were too firm and thick for me. Staff sweeping the grounds right in front of my room and patio first thing in the morning- so felt like no privacy Insects in room… since bathroom is semi outdoors, they are bound to get in the room. I almost stepped on some sort of centipede or millipede (?) my first night and there were small ants around (very common at most places) — be great if there are mosquito nets for sleeping - or you could screen in the bathrooms a bit for more protection from bugs.

Nicely landscaped grounds, hammocks, nice deep pool! Plenty of cabana areas to lounge around with a book. Delicious simple breakfast- and very accommodating with special dietary requests Super helpful with tour/local info. Quiet hours were respected by guests. Air con and ceiling fan noise actually covered up the call to prayer loudspeaker “noise” so I had no trouble sleeping Hearing the call to prayer while lounging by pool at sunset was very atmospheric Very hospitable hosts Great water pressure in shower

Mama Bella’s Retreat is an oasis where you can truly relax in peace and quiet. Wonderfully arranged green space, with a beautiful swimming pool and many places to relax. Extremely helpful and kind stuff and tasty breakfasts. Houses are nicely furnished and large with a nice porch for sitting outside.

Would have loved a hairdryer and shampoo / conditioner in the room. Its a shame there is no ceiling fan. Its aircon or nothing. However, great value for money though so not complaining.

A little oasis up a backstreet in Senggigi. Easy walk to shops. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely brekky. Warm hospitality.

Beautiful gardens and all rooms had a lovely view of the gardens and pool. The breakfast was lovely each morning with a selection to choose from. Very happy with the accomodation, the comfort and amenities in the room and how happy everyone was who was working. A little treasure and I will be back for longer to explore the town and beaches more. I loved that after a full day exploring my laundry had been placed at the end of my bed. Who doesn’t love coming home to clean laundry 😄 Thank you for making me feel so welcome, safe and comfortable as a mature solo traveller.

They have an issue with the wifi. It was important to me to have reliable wifi and unfortunately the problem could not be resolved although they did try. Neither of my devices would connect reliably and my friends also. This was a major issue for me.

The retreat is beautiful, well managed and the garden is exceptiomal. The staff are friendly and helpful

Mama Bella's retreat really felt like a haven of peace. It's quiet, with a lovely pool to relax in and basic necessities in the room. Though the mosque is close by, I couldn't hear the call to prayer in the early morning and slept very well. Breakfast is delicious - get the omelette!! Close to Sengigi beach for surfing and the sunset, and a short walk to Orchid Spa for the best massage in town!

Lovely hotel, the room is a good size and was cleaned daily, good breakfast and amazing staff, nothing was too much trouble. Perfect location to the beaches of Sengiggi. Good value for money.
