They could offer more activities (or connect with tourist agencies). More food options in the restaurant would be nice.

Really friendly staff! Delicious afternoon snack.

For the room price, ferry pick-up should be included. No card accepted!

Location with marvelous view, near one of the nicest beach and not far from village. Nice big rooms with kitchen, balcony with bay view, afternoon snack.

I would stay here again, but I hope they improve the place, as it is pricy for Indonesia and Karimunjawa!

The bad: - The staff is exceptionally nice, however their English is limited which makes it hard to communicate sometimes. Use google translate, but it’s not perfect, miscommunications happen :) - the room is clean enough, but not impeccable, the bathroom sink hadn’t been cleaned before our arrival, and the surfaces in the room turned out to be grimy when I wiped them with a disinfecting towelette. - the tables in the restaurant were a bit sticky and looked like they could benefit from a good scrub and desinfection. - the food options are limited in the restaurant, it is more oriented towards the asian palate. I loved the soups on offer, very tasty! The snacks were great too. However, the mie goreng was pretty dreadful, dry peppery noodles, with a fried drumstick. I also ordered the Menu Indonesia, chicken option, the chicken was great, however it was all very dry and simple, the rice is tasteless, and to accompany the chicken and rice, you only get 2 pieces of unsalted cucumber and 2 slices of tomato. Could you not make a small salad instead? It would be so much better. - no desert options in the restaurant. If you rent a bike, I suggest eating in the town, the restaurants are much better. - very limited drinks offered in the restaurant, no Juices, coconuts were not available. They had juices at breakfast, so they can make them, but they weren’t in the menu for lunch or dinner. - there was a bathroom with the door opened next to reception, inside the restaurant area. I used it to wash my hands twice. It was very dirty, smelled bad and the hand towel was dirty. It’s unfortunate as I don’t want to think this is the bathroom the employees who prepare my food use. - the machine dispensing water was dirty, I didn’t trust it enough to drink from it 🥲

The good: - The view! So very beautiful! - The pier is great, the water at the end isn’t deep, neck high for me (I am 1,56 cm tall). Great for swimming and snorkeling, lots of fishes. - The restaurant area is very pretty. - The air conditioning works great. - The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Maybe the bed is a bit tough but fine enough. - The small kitchen is a great plus - Close to Bobby Beach, we walked there - breakfast was always abbundant, buffet-style with great options for every taste, asian or western. - we got a free lunch upon arrival, which was very tasty, a soup with rice and some fried battered vegetables. Loved it thank you! - we got a free afternoon snack everyday, thank you very much, we loved it! What we don’t understand is why the things we were offered as snacks (boiled corn on the cob for example), were not on the menu, we would have loved to be able to order corn on the cob for lunch or dinner, or eat fresh fruit as dessert, but we weren’t given the option, though they obviously have access to the fruit and vegetables.

On the first day there were lots of plastic on the beach, but starting the next day everything was cleaned

The place has a very scenic location, with private beach entry. Kayaks and snorkeling equipment included! Rooms are spacious, clean and bright. The bathroom is beautiful and sunny! The staff is very helpful and polite, we had included breakfast and afternoon snack. All were tasty and diverse. Good coffee, and juice. They helped us arrange a snorkeling trip and advised kayaking destinations.

An issue across much of indonesia, and Karimunjawa is no exception, is litter. Although the hotel has staff who clean the main section of the beach every day, it’s still visible. Having a private beach for the hotel is amazing, and they have what could be one of the best beaches on the island. However, I’d rather share the beach with outside guests (who pay a nominal fee, like other beaches on the island and buy drinks etc) and therefore an income is created to help clean the beach more often and more thoroughly.

The location is, from what I’ve seen, the best hotel location on the island. The view is incredible, the restaurant food good and the staff very friendly and happy to help. We loved our stay and immediately felt at home. The design is scandi and the furniture seems to be great quality. We’d definitely, definitely stay here again.

Plastic litter is a problem for many areas across Asia and Indonesia is no exception. Staff made every effort to clear it from the beach daily however. Be prepared to use scooters or the staff can arrange car transport down town at an additional cost. There’s no public transport on the island.

A relatively small resort in a quiet location overlooking the coast. The hotel had a really lovely family feel and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained. We were given a simple but well prepared breakfast and an afternoon snack. Dinner was available on request. Our room overlooked the sea and faced towards sunrise.

    * Service level could be improved. Because of a shortage in staff (they need to clean rooms and be at the reception at the same time), half of the day there is nobody around to ask questions to. You simple can't reach them. They help you if you ask them, but it's not totally satisfying. For example: if you ask them if there's a supermarket close by, the answer is just "yes, in town". Not really helpful. Also, they drop you at the harbor (which is nice) but don't tell you that you have to collect the tickets first, at an office 500m away from the harbor. You have to figure that out by yourself. -> if this could be improved, the place could be a 10. It's the small things that can make a big difference. * Food: quality of the evening menu is poor and portions are too small (especially for the price of 70K). Snacks and vegetables are good. * Sweet breakfast options could be improved (only toast with jam/nutella) * Pricing: the tours they offer are a bit overpriced, as well as the drinks you can get at the reception (20K for a small bottle of coke). I understand that you need to make some money, but this is simply not fair pricing.

    * The location is just breathtaking. Amazing to have your little private beach, from where you can see the most magical sunrises each morning. * Bungalows are beautifully designed, large, and it's super to have your own terrace. Bed is comfortable and shower good. * Breakfast (salty option) very tasty and different options every day. * Afternoon snack and availability of free noodles, coffee, tea and water is a plus.
