To celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were surprised with a stunning bouquet of roses, adding a special touch to our stay. The hotel's complimentary buggy service was a fantastic convenience, allowing us to explore the surrounding area and its many dining options effortlessly. This thoughtful service made it easy to visit nearby restaurants without the hassle of booking a taxi. Breakfast at La Reserve 1785 was an exceptional experience, with a wide array of options that felt more like a full à la carte meal rather than a simple breakfast. The variety and quality of the food set the perfect tone for the day. Additionally, the complimentary afternoon tea, complete with delicious sandwiches and pastries, was a delightful treat. The attention to detail throughout the property is remarkable. The design beautifully blends Balinese cultural elements with French antiques, creating a serene and elegant ambiance. The entire setting offers a peaceful retreat from the busy streets of Canggu, making it an ideal place for relaxation. Location is good but not walking distance from the main restaurants, although is not a problem because the hotel carefully offer a shutter to the beach and restaurants.

The room was stunning, staff were outstanding, never felt so well treated and welcome. The breakfast was surreal. I strongly recommend this place.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. This was our second visit and we loved it just as much as our first visit. Highly recommend it. Staff are amazing and go out of their way to make it a wonderful experience. Location for us is perfect, still close enough to everything but just outside the craziness and traffic of Bali, making it very relaxing.

La Reserve is sensational - the pictures and reviews don't do it justice. The staff are incredibly warm, welcoming and kind; they frequently went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The location is excellent and the La Reserve shuttle was handy for places that were a little far to work. Our room was without a doubt the most beautiful room we stayed in throughout our stay in Bali (and we were there for our honeymoon, so stayed in some lovely places!). One thing that isn't mentioned is that La Reserve seemed to only have 10-15 rooms, despite having big grounds. This meant that the pool was never overcrowded and it felt like the staff really got to know you and your preferences.

There were some 'influencers' that flew in overnight for a free stay and interrupted the peaceful seclusion and exclusivity of the hotel, dominating the hotel spaces and attention of the poor staff during peak guest times with all their requests for food and service, (photographing with large cameras + lenses, not very discretely) during several main meal times in the dining area while we were trying to relax and enjoy breakfast and lunch), however they only stayed overnight and the staff managed them very professionally, kindly and patiently. While we understand the many benefits for businesses 'influencers' offer sharing reviews and images on social media, it would have felt better for us as paying guests if these activities occurred outside main guest hours or during off shoulder seasons to maintain the privacy and exclusivity La Reserve offers.

Our villa at La Reserve 1785 was a harmonious blend of traditional Balinese charm and modern comfort. The spacious layout, adorned with elegant furnishings, an abundance of artworks & a library of art and design books, offered a serene sanctuary. The private plunge pool and lush garden added an extra touch of luxury to our experience, creating a perfect balance of relaxation and indulgence. The staff at La Reserve 1785 truly exemplified Balinese hospitality. From the warm greeting upon arrival to the attentive care throughout our stay, every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Whether arranging transport to and from yoga training sessions and surf breaks at sunrise to heavenly spa treatments at the La Reserve Spa, or recommending local dining spots, their genuine enthusiasm and professionalism were consistently remarkable. Our eight-day stay at La Reserve 1785 Canggu Beach was nothing short of magical. The combination of luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, exquisite dining, and idyllic surroundings created an unforgettable retreat. La Reserve 1785 exceeded our expectations in every way and we can't wait to return!

What an absolute beautiful property! The staff including the manager, Mr Ngurah, were top notch. Will only stay at this hotel next time I am in Bali. Location was perfect - cute stores close by and still not as crowded as Canggu as it used to be in Pererenan.

We loved our stay at La Reserve. It is the most beautiful lush calm sanctuary, right in the heart of everything. We loved the Pererenan area as it was a bit quieter than Canggu proper with lots of great cafes and bars around. The pool at La Reserve is stunning, the breakfast was delicious (and the Nasi Goreng for lunch) and the staff and service were incredible. Easy to communicate by WhatsApp. (The staff even found my diamond ring and returned it, before I realised I had lost it). The spa was also incredible. A really nice dark and moody space, with very talented masseuse. We had the Simone room which I highly recommend. You could jump in the pool from the shower (and vice versa) and it was a nice private location between reception/spa/restaurant/pool. We had read reviews about birds being noisy (they were a bit but not near our room and it kinda feels like the point of being surrounded by nature!) and construction noise.. there was a bit of noise from next door but not enough to impact or disrupt our stay. We will definitely be back - thanks for having us

Honestly Nothing, everything was perfect

I wholeheartedly recommend this exquisite hotel for those seeking a tranquil adult-only retreat. The reality of the place truly lives up to its stunning portrayal in the pictures. The staff members are exceptionally welcoming and attentive, consistently exceeding expectations to ensure a memorable stay. A standout feature is the flexible breakfast service, available until the kitchen closes at 8:00 pm, catering perfectly to those battling jet lag. The diverse array of breakfast options is impressive, and the quality of the food is truly exceptional. During our stay, we indulged in the spa services, treating ourselves to a rejuvenating scrub and massage. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary, leaving us feeling refreshed and invigorated. Our visit to this hotel marked the beginning of our Bali adventure, and we were so captivated by the serene ambiance that we found it hard to venture beyond the hotel premises. It truly is a sanctuary of relaxation and rejuvenation.

May be a little cool water in the room's private pool, but during a day it is a bonus, so no real minuses here

The entrance was a little kitschy, but obviously consciously considered and fun. The room was spacious, exceptionally well equipped - the tea set, coffee, music, interior - just everything. Breakfast was delicious, strongly recommend scrambled eggs with truffle

First of all their hospitality was amazing I had such a great time with their kind welcoming and services. Everything that I had here I felt like they cared every detail so much. I even asked for help me to book the activities to enjoy Bali and they were so helpful and genuine. Their responses were really quickly and always polite. Breakfast was also amazing I couldn’t believe it’s all included because the quality was beyond my expectation. The room and the facility were incredibly beautiful and well organized. I was mesmerized every second of the moment being there.

This establishment is fantastic across the board. The attention to detail is exceptional, from the facilities to the staff's attention. This venue offers a little haven of tranquility in the buzzing Pererenan/Canggu area. The hotel's buggy will take you to surrounding shops and restaurants very conveniently. The decoration is done very tastefully, with understated luxury and a few touches of quirkiness. The property's garden is beautiful. The breakfast is excellent. The spa well worth it. The kindness of the staff is only exceeded by their efficiency and professionalism. This venue was a marvellous discovery and we will be back.
